I think he has too unless they are going to start a rookie and judging by Dobson icetime that seems unlikely. Chara is a possibility but not my 1st choice although he's still big and mean

Boychuk will be $6m in LTIR. That would leave just under $2.3m in cap space. Send Johnston down, that adds another million.
Now, if they can move Komarov and maybe Hickey/Panik, that would be a few more million off the books. Pretty sure that won't happen though.

This doesn't tell the whole story, John. It only uses enough of JB's LTIR to get the Isles to zero. Doesn't show the full $6m which leaves a little cap space.

Boychuk will be $6m in LTIR. That would leave just under $2.3m in cap space. Send Johnston down, that adds another million.
Now, if they can move Komarov and maybe Hickey/Panik, that would be a few more million off the books. Pretty sure that won't happen though.

I doubt Leo is being bought out. Lou is the guy who determined he was worth $3 million/season. Plus, the coaches and players all love the guy. I'm not saying that it's impossible, just unlikely.
