What does this mean for the cap situation of the Isles? Do you still need to move one of Komarov or Clutterbuck to get under it or are you good? |

I like the line up of forwards and Parise will be good on the 3rd with pageau and possibly the pp. Gotta get a d man and they will be solid imo |

100%. Defenseman is a priority. Not sure how Lou will make it happen but we need one. |

I think he has too unless they are going to start a rookie and judging by Dobson icetime that seems unlikely. Chara is a possibility but not my 1st choice although he's still big and mean |

So you're gonna move out a player? I don't get how you can sign Parise when you're already 4M over the cap

Boychuk will be $6m in LTIR. That would leave just under $2.3m in cap space. Send Johnston down, that adds another million.
Now, if they can move Komarov and maybe Hickey/Panik, that would be a few more million off the books. Pretty sure that won't happen though. |

This doesn't tell the whole story, John. It only uses enough of JB's LTIR to get the Isles to zero. Doesn't show the full $6m which leaves a little cap space. |

Johnston will need to stay up against the more physical teams in the league
I was surprised n thought possibly Leo would be bought out w/1 yr left on contract and addition of Panik |

beacuse thats not how the ltir cap works. Also if boychuck comes back his entire contract will hit the books. |

I doubt Leo is being bought out. Lou is the guy who determined he was worth $3 million/season. Plus, the coaches and players all love the guy. I'm not saying that it's impossible, just unlikely. |

It would have happened already, I only thought that for an off-season & cap move, not gonna happen now |

2nd buyout window closed anyway, can't happen now. I forgot about that one until yesterday. |
