Is Monahan injured, or are they just holding him out so he doesn't get injured before they trade him? |

Both Monahan and Hanifin are coming off surgery. Chances are they’re sitting for precautionary reasons. No reason to let either get blown up by some AHL kid trying to prove himself. |

My thoughts exactly, and with 8 total preseason games and this being game 4, there’s still lots of time to get them into game action. |

I’m starting to think that Kylington might end up being a regular starting defenceman this year mainly because of his speed and skating to start. Him and Hanifin will be the speediest D. After that, Valimaki, Andersson, Tanev and Mackey all average speed guys, and then you have Zadorov, Gudbranson, Stone etc on the slow end of the spectrum. Although I’ve been hearing Stones skating has gotten quite a bit better with all that time on the taxi squad working with our skating coach so maybe I should put him in the average speed group.
So my current projected starting D lineup is:
Hanifin-Tanev
Valimaki-Andersson
Kylington-Zadorov/Gudbranson/Stone
Mackey
It covers the righty lefty scheme, and the fast guy with the slow guy type scheme. |

Richardson needs a big game. We have a few possibilities at centre with Dubé and Gawdin. |

I think the only thing different you will see is this:
Zadorov-KylingtonGudbranson/Stone
With the contract and extension, there's no way Zadorov rotates into that 6 spot.

Don't you dare take our DD, and FYI he is worth way more than a 3rd. And he's a franchise fan and they don't grow on trees. We respectfully decline your offer

I would counter back at a 2nd & a conditional 2023 1st if the Pens make it to the conference finals, otherwise we get a 2023 3rd. |

Hm, that's a risky one given that this RFA (*RelocatedFunnyAlien) can also countersign with an Ecuadorian synchronized-swimming team - dropping these picks into banana basket... just for the snow of it. |

Thanks Trevor! Nice to see some consistency to our blogs and some real hockey insight. It's been a long time.
I missed everything but the last 3 mins, but the team seemed stable, and Wolf looked confident. |
