I'll be happy that I won't have to stream this game. I couldn't get the last game at all! |

So a week ago you said all the good players should rest since opponents are full of AHL wannabees. But now that guys are scoring suddenly we stop mentioning the AHL wannabes stuff. Let's see Raymond score against NHL opponents before you declare him NHL ready. As for Veleno...he hasn't produced much against weak competition, but he's been declared NHL ready for next year? Maybe on a line with Pulkkinen and Mursak? |

Since today is the home game, I’m expecting the “a” team. Tomorrow should be all the GR bound and tryouts. Monday is home again. I should have done a better job clarifying. If today were a road game I’d have the other squad.
For next year, just like with Rasmussen last year, JV will probably settle into his NHL role. I expect it’s on the 3rd line wing. Maybe he starts on the 4th. He needs higher minutes and reps this year in GR or if injuries open a spot here. With Vrana definitely out the feel changes a bit for the rest of preseason |

Your writing has been very clear. I marvel at how you can function on some days, given your situation.

Thanks brother. Storms coming in, just now hunkering down in my favorite red/black/white flannel to wait it out. I look like Mick Foley if he were down on his luck today! |

Jeremy you’re a dime and I love you don’t listen to the hate… since someone doesn’t like Raymond I’ll make a exuberant claim. Raymond is not only nhl ready… but he’ll knock in 28G and 30 apples this year taking home the Calder. |

I love Raymond. I've said Seider and Raymond are the only top tier prospects we have. All-star potential. Cossa would be next.
But I'm also not declaring Raymond as NHL ready after a few preseason games against AHL competition. Huge difference between a couple preseason games versus being a top 6 winger facing a shutdown line and a top tier goalie. Give him a couple real games so he sees how far away he actually is and send him to GR. Come back after the trade deadline. But sure. Let's go with your Calder scenario... |

I have no problem doing it as a trial. I guess the reason I’m leaning toward him is that he seems to mesh creatively and at the right pace. If he plays 5 or 6 regular season games and gets swallowed up, absolutely send him down. No reason to drown him, just seems to be on a solid trajectory already.
I think Edvinsson will be a really nice pick. His ice time is hovering over 20 and he really seems to be getting bigger/better. Cossa will be worth following for sure. Niederbach and Soderblom just aren’t having a lot of production still. That WJC between the legs goal for Elmer just made him look so good but it doesn’t seem to have much carry over |

Man, thanks for that. That would be insane. The city (and all the fans everywhere) could use a breakout star like that. It would be a lot of fun |

So, I just got the update on Soderblom. Today he played a season high 15+ mins, had 6 shots on goal and registered an assist. He now has assists in consecutive games and 1 goal on the season (1+2 3pts in 5 games). That’s a massive jump in minutes. We’ll see if it sticks. In the 4 previous games he had 1 shot on goal (4 total on the season before today). Amazing what a day can do for your numbers. Niederbach still has 0 goals and 0 assists on the season |

Just caught the last 10 of the 2d via ESPN+. Didn’t realize that came with the Disney+ subscription (don’t ask….).
Raymond really looks strong. Watched him blast a shot off of a feed from Hronek (I think…). He’s got a laser. His feet are SO quick. So good with his hands. Mo’s looked pretty solid overall. Veleno took that bad cross-check penalty (the cross-check was bad, not the call…..for those who would sharp-shoot….). PK looks pretty solid, PP is a bit off. Larkin’s doing well on FOW, AND he snagged a PPG.
Just watched the Manny Legace interview. What a classy guy. The horrors he endured this summer….wow. Best wishes for him and his Family. |

There are kids that definitely surprise you. Raymond seems to have that potential. Would shave my armpits with a cheese-grater to see your sooth-saying come to fruition. I’d not be surprised to see him shock the league. Not holding my breath, but wouldn’t be surprised. |
