Carol Schram: Podkolzin takes a step as Kraken shut out Canucks; Gadjovich on waivers Vasily Podkolzin played his best game in a Vancouver uniform on Tuesday night, but the Canucks dropped a 4-0 decision to the Seattle Kraken as Travis Green started tinkering with his defense pairings. Wednesday morning, the team placed Jonah Gadjovich on waivers.

Thanks, Carol!

I know it's a meme for every fanbase to be worried about their team's players getting claimed, but I really hope Gadjovich clears. I love that he put in the work to shed weight and get faster this summer. I dislike how he didn't get a chance to play with better players and play more minutes this pre-season, but not being trusted to PK was his downfall with Green and I suspect the limited role was to make sure he stayed off the waiver claim radar.

Cole Lind on waivers also

Not a surprise for me, I like his skill and tenacity, but he's not fast and he's not strong.

If we lose Gadj it is not a big loss as long as we still have Highmore.

Interesting that they're going with Hughes-Poolman and OEL-Myers

Green sounds like he likes that Pearson-Bo-Hog line

Miller at Center on his own line seems like it's going to be a reality to start the season

It makes sense Hughes with Poolman , Myers has not been good ( I am being very polite)

Myers seems to play better with vets, I thought he looked his best with Edler. Poolman seems like a good fit for Hughes, he can skate pretty well, plays a simple game, but has enough skill to move the puck out of the zone.

I liked mccann, but i also liked a few guys that turned into nothing so that doesn't say much.

That trade sure ended up a poopy one though. Guddy ended up being not even close to worth one of the 3 things sent the other way.

Did mccann have some problems or something in van? I seem to recall something

I remember that Demitra(RIP) - Wellwood - Bernier 3rd line actually being pretty effective even though it looked weird on paper

Still not sure about Miller as 3C. I think unless he and Pod show real chemistry he's better suited to a top 6 role.

Podz may have had top 6 minutes yesterday but he certainly didnt have top 6 players on his line.
