I know how much I have mentioned his name in my blogs since the summer, but man.....I have watched good chunks of the Ducks games this week as I was told by 2 scouts about the Sens interest in Rackell. Plus the Ducks are always on late when not many games are on TV, so it's easy to watch them when not much other hockey is on.
But Adam Henrique has been super! He dominates in the faceoff circle, already had 3G,3A and he would look dynamite on the 2nd line, boy oh boy..... |

I posted this on Twitter earlier today, but they now made a trade for Gambrell, so if he was to get sent down to the AHL, Sens gotta pay him 1.1M no matter what. If they did it a week ago, pretty sure the Sens would've have claimed him but no now they have no need too.

Rackell has just this year left on his contract, then a UFA, that is the problem. But I hear ya, Rackell would fit the 2nd line RW spot nicely. Henrique has this year plus 2 more left on his deal. Unless the Ducks took on half his contract, Sens wont do it. But Ottawa needs help on the RW and at center badly!

He plays with wild abandon. He dodged a check last night where it looked like he was about to be crushed.
Hope when Pinto returns that they put hm with Formenton and Stuetzle and let them play together as a third line. |

OTT has got 1 Dominant line and 1 dominant D pairing, Stutzle needs offensive minded players to help him out, Brown and Paul are more defensive minded players, 3rd line should be Formenton-Paul-Brown.
Stutzle needs his own Brady on the 2nd line lol, someone that will crash the net and open things up for him. |

OTT should offer Norris the Suzuki contract now, before he asks for more |

Norris appears to have a strong work ethic and is turning out to be more of a sniper than anyone had guessed. I believe he has great Newfoundland roots. Makes it easy to cheer for him. |

I get Murray is making 6M+, which on this team means he gets played even if he's terrible, but can we please give Gus his due? He's the clear #1 option here, and he's earned it. I'd go so far to waive Forsberg when Murray gets back. |

You need three goalies so you can't waive Forsberg until one of your other young guys starts to gel but I agree that Gus seems to be the future at this point, much more so than Murray who should end up being a six million dollar backup next year or the year after, but he won't be.
Pierre"Proudest Day of My Life" Dorion doesn't like to shine a light on his bad moves. Witness Brannstrom who he will continue to keep hidden until he can quietly shuffle him off as part of some kind of package once guys like Sanderson and JBD get here.
He'll find a team that needs to get rid of a bad contract and give them Brannstrom plus picks and if it's a really a bad contract he'll throw in a good prospect as well. |

He's looked really really solid. I sometimes get scared when he gets out of position but the way he moves and tracks the puck, it's truly exciting to watch. His glove hand is amazing too |

Ottawa needs another top 2 center like him otherwise we will a playoff team but not a contender (Pinto or someone else to come in) |

What I find most striking about Norris is his calm demeanour. Both on and off the ice. I like to compare him to Logan Couture. I think they have very similar skill sets and on-ice personalities. I think most would say Norris is a bit more of a sniper, and Couture a bit more of a playmaker. But that’s style. I’m talking about skill set and personality.
I never would have thought of Norris as a player to make upwards of $6m, let alone MORE. But if he puts up something like 30 goals this season, and also leads the team in goals, he will certainly have an argument at the negotiation table.
Gonna be very interesting to see if he stays consistent (and healthy), and has another year where he seemingly overachieves. |

I noticed right since pre season he’s also playing much more aggressively, throwing way more hits than he did last year. I can’t help but wonder if living with Brady rubbed off on him. Lol |

Vegas picked him up off waivers! Got a feeling they are sniffing on the Eichel trade, with Stone out long term. |
