Larionov was at least passable as an NHL centerman. Certainly can't be talked about in the same breaths as like a Malkin, or Ovechkin or Datsyuk or Kutcherov... the less said about players like Krutov, Goldobin, Fedor Fedorov, Shirokov and Chubarov the better.

Right over your heard. Larionov, representing Goldobin, telling the media about what a great (and misunderstood) prospect he is. Agents will say whatever they need to in order to pump up their clients.

Maybe Klimmer ends up being a star, maybe not, but maybe we shouldn’t compare him to Kucherov just yet…
