I'm more broken up about Tuch. That combination of size, speed, and hands doesn't grow on trees. My biggest issues with him was he couldn't stay healthy. To me he had the best hands on the team. |

LV gains nothing by trading Tuch. Is Eichel the right fit for LV? |

Rangers fan here. Congrats on Eichel, hope it works out for you guys. Not a bad package for a potential top 10 player. A little butt hurt because the Rangers easily could have matched that offer but Buffalo likely wanted him to go west.
Curious, is Brett Howden really on your 2nd and giving the opposition nightmares? See he has 0 points in 7 games. Personally thought Howden would breakout for NYR but despite being solid defensively and trying very hard, the offense was non-existent. |

Yup. I said just yesterday I don’t include Tuch as he is important for this team. I’m not a fan of Eichel at all. Hate his attitude, demeanour, hate his smug ugly face and his stupid skating style. Ugh. Not happy about this trade right now. |

Hope Eichel recovers fully and gets back to his normal. McDavid- Eichel battles will be fun to watch |

I feel the same way about Eichel and I'm glad he is gone. I will miss his skill on the ice though. Maybe he will be happier being in Vegas? Hookers and Blow can do that to a man. Ha ha ha ha |

seeing a lot of comments about this trade that have me thinking a lot of the hockey world doesn't know how good of a player Tuch is
and if the comeback is that Tuch's had some injuries, well, look at Eichel |

Howden has been bouncing around the third and fourth lines then inexplicably found himself on the first line between Marchessault and Reilly against the Leafs. It was a disaster.
This sums up The Golden Knights season so far. The injuries they had going into that game. Janmark got in the lineup and played injured.

I Actually thought the trade was very fair for both teams, LV gets the way better player. he will get his surgery, heal and be a freaking beast for LVGK. I predict he will easily be a PPG+ player when healthy.
Buffalo gets Tuch who can replace Rinehart, big strong fast skater with hands, and they kid the GK top prospect in Krebs. Who looks like he will be a player.
not to mention the extra picks.
All in all, I really feel this was a fair deal for both teams, |

Thanks for the response, brutal luck for the Knights. Howden very well could become a solid 3C as he grows and matures, still super young.

Yeah. Now they will play with an 18 man roster the next few years. Awesome. |

TSN:
Cap Crunch Coming?
Adding Eichel's $10 million salary brings the Golden Knights to $78.74 million committed towards next season's $81.5 million salary cap with just 11 players under contract, per CapFriendly.
Forwards Reilly Smith and Mattias Janmark, along with defenceman Brayden McNabb are all slated for unrestricted free agency next summer, while seven players on their current NHL roster are slated for restricted free agency.
Eichel will become the 11th member of the Golden Knights carrying a cap hit of $5 million or more, his $10 million salary is the team's highest, ahead of Mark Stone ($9.5M AAV), Alex Pietrangelo ($8.8M AAV) and Max Pacioretty ($7 million AAV).
Edit: pretty sure TSN’s numbers are off and there is 78 mill committed to 16 players next year. But still looks bad. |

Does anyone here truly believe this just happened? Jack Eichel is the best centre to be traded since Gretzky. Bill Foley paid Kevyn Adams to make this deal happen. I'm sure of it. These two are scum and should immediately be terminated by the league. |

Some key contributors will get moved and GMKM will need to start re-stocking the farm. BUT, if Eichel is back to health, god save us all from an Eichel-Stone pairing. |

This looks to be a pretty satisfactory deal for both sides. Vegas is win-now, and Sabres made off with a terrific roster player who'll likely wear a letter, a top tier prospect, and picks. What's not to like for both teams? |

I’ve heard some say they’ll just dump Patches. He’s been very good for us. So now it’s dump Patches, Krebs, Tuch, and picks. All to fit Eichel?? Stupid stupid move. Smith and Janrkrok will be gone this summer. Just an all around stupid move for this team. |

It was a lot but he’s been really good here. It will turn out to be awful if we have to dump his cap hit and add a sweetener just to add (frank)ing Eichel. |

Jack Eichel is the best centre to be traded since Gretzky. He was traded for a couple of plugs and a conditional pick. It's a horrendous deal that should have been nixed by the league. |
