If you would have told me at the beginning of the year that the Flyers would be out of the playoff picture on December 6th I simply wouldn't have believed it. Harsh reality of another wasted year. The coaching change had to be made, but there will be no quick fixes with this group. I thought they played hard tonight, but they simply can't keep up with the faster teams in the league. |

Antwaan Yandle-El had a terrible game. That take away behind his own net was awful. WTF? Play Linus or Egor for crying out loud. |

No doubt Yandle in his own end is a train wreck and that giveaway was absolutely terrible, but why point out him at 750k when provy at almost 7 mill has been equally terrible defensively.
There is sooo much blame to go around on this site, however, the two biggest issues are 14 and 9 and they barely get a mention. Why? |

Too many penalties. Jones was not sharp. Makar's goal made every Flyer on the ice look silly. Yandle looks slower and slower each game. At least the Flyers scored a few goals. I did like the new lines. It was another loss, but maybe it had a spark of some extra effort? Who knows how things will go with Yeo as coach? |

I've turned several recent games off. Earlier in the season than last year. The one that was entertaining was the Florida game.
I saw a little spark tonight. The game was entertaining.
I liked the line combos. Might be interesting with Ellis, Brassard, Allison and Farabee in the line up. Not sure where they go from here.
Hope they make things interesting. |

Not so shocking, though. |

Meh.
Great! We scored 5 goals.
And we let in 7.
Maybe we can put JVR in net or something......

Until Fletcher is gone and this team finally admits the last 5-6 years were a waste. The results will remain the same. I hate rebuilding but I don’t see any other solution. The players drafted over the last decade are well paid mediocre players. Obviously you can’t trade everyone but anyone over 30 on this team needs to be traded. Load up on picks. Just don’t let the same scouts give their recommendations .😂😂I never would have thought the flyers would have one of the worst run teams in the league. This teams identity died with Snider. Bill send my congratulations to the clowns running this team. |

I agree, its the usual beat up on the fletcher picks, but Provy at his salary needs to be much better.

Yeah. Just great. Players didn't like a restrictive defensive game and gave up on the coach. New coach.. let's open it up and have some fun! score 5 but give up 50 shots and lose. Wonder how long before they give up on this guy? |

The team's identity died when the NHL implemented the salary cap. The Ed Snider method of throwing money around until the team's problems went away was no longer a viable option, and sadly, this lesson still hasn't been learned by anyone in the organization.
While every GM has their faults, can you really blame them when the organization still holds the belief that more money = success? That's why I never really understood the Hextall hire as it was pretty obvious that his philosophies didn't really align with what the Flyers have always done (and still continue to do today).
Old habits die hard, but until this organization understands that throwing money at your problems isn't a solution in today's game, you're going to continue witnessing a franchise that is mediocre at best. |

Watching the Sixers but I would tune in during commercial breaks and halftime. That 5th goal Jones let in definitely should have been saved.
I'll probably be only tuning in to watch them if nothing else is on. |

Well, I hope all watched the game last night and if so I hope a HUGE dagger of reality sunk in while you watched. This Flyers team has no where near the speed, skill nor depth to compete with any good team in this league. Last night looked like an NHL team playing a high school team, and guess which one the Flyers were? At one point it literally looked like speed boats playing against ocean liners. Did you all see that end to end rush from Cale Makar? Wouldn't he look nice in a Flyers uniform instead of the walking migraine? Or did you see that goal from Landeskog, where the puck was not on his stick for 1/2 second before it went top shelf off the rush?? No coach can fix a lack of speed and skill, No coach! The only good thing that happened last night was Giroux got a couple of goals, increasing his stock as the deadline approaches. If I am Fletcher, I would be asking, even begging Giroux to waive his no-trade clause now and I would begin discussions with other teams to start the bidding war, before G gets hurt and this opportunity goes away. The Flyers need a huge reset and it should start with the 2022 draft. Best case scenario, Fletchers gets 2 1st round picks from deadline trades plus his own which has the potential to be top 10, and he drafts 3 players that can play the modern game starting next season! |

Being at the game last night I can say that Rasmussen is the best dman on the team right now. Provy honestly is awful. If this team isn’t in the hunt I’d see what I can get for him. Rasmussen won’t wanna stay here and we gave up a lot to get him. |

Sad but true. Would you consider trading Giroux then resigning in UFA.
