Thanks for the blog Trevor, I think it is getting to the point where I hope the players opt out of the Olympics. I know it is the players choice, but potentially being quarantined in China 3-5 weeks if you test positive. That two week window should be used to play the postponed games and probably more future ones, just not Flames games.

Hot and sweaty. Just picked up my truck from the car wash, $10 to detail in and out. I love Mexico.
Jumping on the golf cart with my old yellow lab, we’re heading to the beach for a swim.

Barring travel restrictions, hoping to get to Cancun in January/February. Need some sun and to GTFO Alberta winter for the first time in years.

sorry don’t get pleasure in others misery. I did 8 winters in Calgary, working outside, in the early 80’s, before global warming.
Stay warm.

I’ve only been on the east coast once, cancun day trip to Isla murjeures you won’t regret it. Rent a golf cart and tour the island, it’s about 5 Kim’s long.

I dunno. I bet the nucks fan who threw his jersey is pretty dang proud of his or her self. They are single-handedly responsible for the nucks resurgence. Hope they where that uggo jersey proudly.

Hey Trevor, when I suggested Jacob Chychrun as a potential player add I was just speculating. I now see Friedman has come out and said he may be available. What do you think the cost would be?

Flames games aren't the only thing that was postponed yesterday. Take the IV out. Get dressed and go home. Can't get any more last second than that. Rescheduled for Friday. No point getting upset when it's out of your control. Fingers crossed.

Im not Trevor but I think good comps would be what Tre paid for Hamilton and Hamonic who's careers were at similar stages when we acquired them. I say this because Chychrun has a very good body of work to date, he eats big time minutes and he has a club friendly deal at 4.6 million through 2024-25. The only down side to trading for Chychrun is his injury history and the price will likely be high.

Good reply not Trevor!

What about packaging Monaghan and Zadorov in there? We add our first and a a prospect.

It’s Christmas. That would upgrade our D and give arte some money to spend.

I would do that deal in a heartbeat just not sure the rebuilding, financially strapped Yotes would have any interest in Mony or Zadorov.

Yep. That should be around the price. The Flames have two 2nds this year, so the price may be their first three picks.

We’ll took 1 year of Erickson, Beagle, Roussel and Guenther For Garland and OEL contract. Zadorov has 1 year left and Monahan 2 they’ll have lots of cap next year, if there’s enough other fluff they may bite.
Chychrum had a monster year last year. He’d be a huge upgrade.

Can anyone remember when the Flames actually had a goalie prospect playing lights out in the minors?
Wolf is doing that with a 12-0-2 record, that’s points in every game he’s played. Give this scouting staff credit, 7th round pick.

According to 'Traveldude' of Flames fanhood in the Oilers thread:
Maybe an offer of Bouchard, Hollaway, plus two 1st rounders might get the Yotes listening. Holloway hasn't played a pro game yet, so maybe that doesn't move the needle.
- Traveldude

So that's approximately the equivalent of Andersson, Zary, and 2 1sts and then they'd "listen". Pony up, boys

But for real, I'm not sure I'd mess with what's working right now. Both Hanifin and Kylington have come into their own and I'm not sure introducing a guy that'll be slotted ahead of them will do enough good to justify the acquisition cost.

Hey if he’s better than Hanifin and Kylington and is taking their spot, it’s not a bad addition. I think he had 41 pts in 56 games last year. Just imagine playing with better players!

On some level, sure, but is it better than using the assets to upgrade other spots
