that's all well and good, but as a Leaf fan I know scoring goals in the regular season means little when the playoffs start. with all that offensive advantage you'd think they'd be first by a wide margin in goal differential. they're leaky defensively and the offense isn't going to take them far unless they start worrying more about keeping the puck out of their net instead of filling the other teams net.

Sorry to say this...but this article suggests you've studied the stats but haven't watched too many Avs games. Kuemper is not the problem. The Avs have played some wide open games where they have scored 6 or 7 goals but had some defensive lapses or let their foot off the gas. So they win 7-3 but when you look at Kuemper's stats you say, hmm, he let another 3 goals in. Must be struggling. You might also want to look at sample size...Kuemper had a couple of bad starts to begin the season but has been steady since then. Here are some stats:
October - 2.87 GAA, .903 SV
Nov - 2.81 GAA, .901 SV
Dec - 2.52 GAA, .921 SV
See a pattern yet? His stats were skewed by a couple of poor games in October. He's won 4 in a row including shutting down Florida and NYR. But sure, keep going with this MAF idea...

P.S. Kadri has 38 points, not 38 goals.

Think that’s 38 points for Kadri lol….

Love to see them add Fleury. If the Isles remain out, and Byram gets back, we can swing something like Girard+Nicholas Henry+Kamenev’s rights to Sweet Lou for Mayfield, Chara, Johnston, 2022 2nd we traded in the Toews deal+2024 3rd

Flip the 2024 3rd+G Johansson (only value is sparing them recalling Delia and needing to recall an ECHL Goalie to the AHL and thus shop for a new ECHL netminder)+C Bowers (former 1st Rounder) to CHI for Fleury (50% Ret.)

This is a franchise that should be looking at the rental defensemen such as Mark Giordano, Ben Chiarot, Nick Leddy, etc.

A shut down D is what they need. Leddy should be out of the picture.
Give Giordano a shot at the cup!

How about a Girard and '23 2nd and 5th for Chychrun?

Totally false but par for the course for Ek.

You don't want Chara. Also pretty unlikely they move Mayfield. Johnston too, considering they just re-signed him.

So you want to be condescending by pointing out an error, and here you are making your own error...hilarious. but par for the course.

Good piece on the Avs and wanted to add that it is great to hear Arizona Coyotes news as they suffer through a total rebuild season.
I have enjoyed guest writer Matt Ross on the site and hopefully he will have a shot at becoming permanent. Yea

I’m going to go ahead and assume you didn’t watch any Capital games last year or Islander games this season.

Might as well throw in MacKinnon and Rantanen to make the trade more even.

You know; they didnt exist in the 80's - so WTF are you talking about? I can appreciate you want people to read your poop but don't publish poop like this! Complete lunacy and speculation - you need help or a new job to pay you $. CLOWN!!!!
- xinto33

He's talking about the Avs scoring 4.22 goals per game reminding him of the 80's. Although if you go back just 3 years, Tampa averaged 3.96. So not that different. Also don't need to go back to the 80's. Go to the mid 90's and plenty of teams were scoring more than the Avs.

Bryam - Concussed?

would AVS use him as a trade chip to go all in this yr?
