I hate the Mack comp. despise it. He was much younger and it’s a pretty unusual trajectory. Reminds me of when folks want to draft a poor skater and send them to Bo’s skating coach
That would make Petey's trajectory pretty unusual as well then.
Maybe William Nylander who now at 25 is back to a PPG player.
What about Patrik Laine who after a couple of down seasons was back to a PPG before leaving the team. |

Thanks Carol! Perhaps Elias should hit a squat rack instead of working on his one timer. Pleased to see Loui looking good and excelling in Zona. He was always one of my favourites |

How so? Oh you think Elias will get 100 points next season? You are entitled to your opinion. |

Maybe he turns into Paul Stastny. 771 points in 1025 games. Good for 3rd in his draft behind Kopitar and Crosby. |

Daigle...gross
Nedved
1) The one that got us Craig Janney and a 2nd then a week later Brown, Hedican and Layfette
2) The one that got 99 points on Pitts
3) The one that slurped the Great One asking for this stick |

Ryan Nugent Hopkins even though Hopkins never actually broke 60 points until he was 25 years old. So Petey is a ahead of him in that manor.
Huberdeau is probably another good example. Him and Barkov now kicking ass at 28 and 26 years old.
Ekblad and Forsling are also 25 though. Florida D are all entering prime years where Van's D have yet to get there or are past 30.
Rutherford is right in 2-3 years pretty much what Benning said the team would be right. |

Nedved had 717 points in 982 games. That's a pretty good career. |

He was a pretty decent player. But imagine if Vancouver had listened to him.
When asked in his interview with the Canucks who the best player in the draft was he said “Jagr”. |

I just don't hold Petey in that high regard I guess. I really see him as a flash in the pan type player that took the league by storm with a insane whipping wrist shot from his spot. Believe me, I hope to be wrong on this. I don't wish ill will on him or the team. It would be awesome if he gets his game together and becomes a consistent 80 - 90 point guy. All these player comparisons are moot points until then. I hope myself, Don, and Westcoastdustructionofdraftinglefty are proven wrong. I will happily eat crow and cook the goose at the next HB picnic. |

Thank you Carol!!
Saw a post somewhere saying they should let the World Junior teams go to the Olympics to play as amateurs and finish off the WJHC tourney there. It would never happen but what a bloody good idea and imagine the exciting Hockey those kids playing for Olympic gold. |
