I'm still pretty skeptical as far as the season goes. I think they either run it late, or have to start chopping games and go back to the play in scenario to balance things out schedule and revenue wise.

It’s going to be a mess no matter what. Especially for the Canadian teams and teams like the Isles/Stars.

My guess is that the league will construct an entirely new schedule to start after the All-Star break and run through the end of April — still allowing for 82 games, and hopefully keeping the same balances that we currently have in terms of home and away games, and division/non-division play.

I really don’t see a point in having an all star game/week. The nhl should focus on getting a full 82 game season completed without jeopardizing the quality of the games themselves (if they haven’t done that already).

Hey…Canada is still my home. Our oldest daughter called this morning in distress, we could hear it in her voice. Actually, we bought her and her family tickets to come down for the month of February. Our pool is heated and the weather is 20°C so she can go the pool with the kids and we can watch them while her and her husband go out and be normal for a bit.

He has to go back to work after ten days but she’ll stay with us for another couple weeks.

Money grab. It creates a lot of revenue and is good for the youth. It is annoying for the adult fans but it is only one weekend.
