Totally agree with trying to move Barrie and Kassian. Nobody will want Koskinen...hold onto him and let the contract expire. Shed the salary and retool for next year- spend the $$$ on a true #1 goalie. Wont be much $$$ left over with Nurse's salary going up by $4-$4.5 million next year...but might be able to add a bit of depth. Holloway should be the big addition up front next year.
Nice to see Bouchard finally get a chance on the PP. The kid is up to the task. |

I could see the Bruins having interest in Barrie to run the PP. Debrusk comed back. But Oilers will need to add to make that happen.
With DeBrusk and Holloway coming you can then move a guy like Yamo in a package for a goalie. Or you throw in the towel on the year and throw big bucks at Kuemper as a UFA. |

Rather a forward prospect with speed Holloway or McCloud for fleury from the hawks.
Maf half retained for 1st and McCloud or Holloway
As for trading for kilgberg Dallas not taking barrie and that contract back imo. |

That is an absolute awful trade for Edmonton, Jesus Christ. I love MAF, but he's 37. You're asking for the Oilers to give up an unprotected first (where they'll likely be in the lottery) AND a A prospect in Holloway?
Fleury is a free agent at the end of the season, better to just wait until then if he's your guy.

I'm sure Boston will have less-than-zero interest in Barrie. They're paying McAvoy and Carlo enough that adding a 4.5mil RD isn't likely attractive. If we're looking at teams that would use an offensive RD, the list starts with Seattle and might include Dallas, Buffalo, and Ottawa. I don't imagine any of them would give anything of substance for him but, with some cap retention or taking back some cap, there might be a hockey trade there. |

Thankfully, Fleury won't waive for EDM because that proposal is blindingly absurd. |

Some fans are just not all there. Who the hell would trade that for a 37 year old goalie? Maybe Holland as he likes those old vets but I doubt even he’s that desperate. |

Never say never with Holland at the helm. Fortunately, Holland only makes deals with no retention by the other team involved, so he can't bring in MAF. |

Also, Kassian won the lotto with that contract, and move Barrie to a forward position. |

If we add Kane, what do you think of this? Balanced attack...
Perlini/McDavid/Puljujarvi
Kane/Draisaitl/Yamamoto
Hyman/RNH/Mcleod
Foegele/Shore/Kassian |

Perlini in the top-6 constitutes criminal negligence.
Foegele McDavid Hyman
Kane Draisaitl Yamamoto
RNH McLeod Puljujarvi
Sceviour Ryan Kassian
Until they can trade for/call up two better bottom-6 Fs to jive with Kassian's flaws and strengths. |

Thought Benson played a decent game the other night. First time I actually noticed him out there. |

I want Perlini in the lineup due to his post-game interviews. Same reason I want MacTavish back.
