Zak - I agree with jkumpire - you're way off base with the "laughing stock" assessment of the BlueJackets.
After Jarmo's much needed changing of the old guard that began at the TDL last season, and continuing at the draft, there was no expectation of a magical turn-around this season.
Before this season began I predicted a point total of 78-84, and I feel it will be closer to the bottom number, as I don't expect the BlueJackets to play at .500 for the last half of the season. The grind will wear down Sillinger, Chinahkov, Boquist, and Bean.
Sure - some games they look completely lost, and others they hit on all cylinders. Hitting on all cylinders will become more of the "norm" as we turn to next season.
If the BlueJackets are a laughing stock - how do you describe the Flyers and Devils ? Both with worse records, goal differential than the BlueJackets. I shudder to imagine what you think about the Sabres, Senators, and Canadiens, in the Atlantic !!

they can score on average more than 3 goals ...sure ok cool, but they surrender 6 to 8 in return , not sure what Larson is thinking but this team is not designed nor has the personnel to execute what he's seeking, clearly they are trying to do some up-tempo possession that just isn't there .
