IMO,

these are the chips we are definitely bringing to next month's high stakes poker game

2022 first round pick

2023 first round pick

two 2022 2nd round picks

Vitali Kravtsov

either Zac Jones or Nils Lundkvist

I don't know if say a Dylan Garand, Talyn Boyko or Matthew Robertson are viewed as chips as this point

I'd say Garand and Robertson are due to a longer, better, track record. B/B+ chips

If we package all of that in one deal, what are we looking at?

Can’t help but feel the Rangers would be selling low on Lundkvist. He came into this season with enormous expectations and feel he’s shown very little flash. Could be smart to let him finish the season in Hartford to build his value back up.

Jones might be the answer on LD. I like what other have suggested in pairing him with Trouba and then moving Miller with Schneider. That’s a pretty balanced 6.

Then the Rangers really only need a top 6 winger and 1-2 3rd liners.

Chytil, Gauthier, Krav, 1st, both 2nds would be my picks to be moved. Would pay more if Nemeth is moved or players coming back have term left.

Jack Hughes was on the ice momentarily with #NJDevils before being pulled.

Hughes will not accompany the team on their road trip.

Jack Hughes has been added to the Covid-19 protocol list.

Well, I had no idea there was a new blog... was talking to myself in the other one...

So... things I talked to myself about..

1. How do you guys feel about bring back Brassard for the 3rd line?
2. Did you guys know that Copp and Trouba are BFF's? I like this! LOL.

I dont think both 1st round picks are on the table. 1 of them for sure is.
Zac Jones I dont think will be on the table, we need him and his ELC for next year.
Id also throw Chytil in as on the trade block.

Nah, thats not my deal. Im only throwing out suggestions and players I find to be ideal for our team. I also work within the rumors as they come out and try to find ways or reasons for it to make it work for us long term in some situations.

Pavs or Giroux for the top 6. With the season Pavelski is having, Dallas fans have been steadily upping the cost on Pav as a rental. Im not interested in it.
Copp for 3C.

De Haan or similar for 3LHD. People talk about Chiarot or Giordano, however their cost for us would be far too high to justify. De Haan would come in at a far more palletable cost.

If LAF stays with the top line, then Id like to get Jarnkrok for the 3rd line. The popular talk here is Lehkonen, but again, the cost will be too high where as I feel Jarnkrok is an excellent third liner that can line up anywhere and will not cost much.

I wonder when the last time a team made three trades at the deadline for starting roster players.

Maybe not in 3 separate trades, but Im sure there have been trades for multiple players in one deal that ended up starters.

Our biggest problem is the 3rd line really. Its a worthless line. So if they only got Jarnkrok and Copp I feel that alone would make us a much better team.

You are dealing Chytil in one of the deals, are you also trading Kravtsov and the first rounder? Jarnkrok and de Haan don't warrant that high of a return in my opinion, especially as a rental.

De Haan and Jarnkrok dont, thats why Id rather trade for them rather than Lehkonen or Chiarot/Giordano. Same goal/needs, half the cost.

I figure Copp with require a 2nd and something decent (Krav/Chytil)
Pav/G will require a 1st and something decent (Krav/Chytil)

2013 was the last time I can remember for NYR.
Brassard, Dorsett, Moore, Clowe

Think they go even bigger this year.

Bigger maybe in quality of player, but I think 4 seems about right for whats needed here.

Exactly. Probably only 4 players if a roster player like Chytil/Gaut are moved to fill those holes.
