Love the Oiler’s 3rd line.

That 2nd line though…

How long until Smith gets injured this time?

I am at a loss trying to figure out what went through Barrie's head on that shortie!!! He had more than enough time to realize his shot would be blocked, but he took it anyway. A low percentage shot where he could have instead dodged Smith coming to block, or dished the puck.

THEN...THEN...he is the last man back and gets overskated by TWO players...missing the assignment on the 2on1...a 2on1 created by him.

Honestly, young players get cut almost immediately after sh1t like that. Barrie has offensive talent but he is 100% not what this team needs. Plays like that will absolutely kill the somewhat fragile confidence of the Oilers.

Trade Barrie...just get him out of here.

At least the refs are trying to get the Oilers back in the game. Lol

Imagine if Holland kept Bear and let Barrie walk. Pretty redundant with Bouchard here. So no Foegele then. Now imagine if he just ponied up last deadline to add Kuemper. So obviously no Smith. Then you pay a sweetener to dump Koskinen. Yzerman signed Greiss. Pretty sure if he had offered Koskinen with 2nd, Yzerman takes him. None of that is too farfetched. Pretty logical actually.

So Smith, Koskinen, Barrie, Foegele out.
Kuemper, Skinner, Bear in. And a bunch of cap space.

Thing is, except for the fourth goal, it's actually a bit hard to blame him for any goal last night.

It's pretty sad when the Habs are a better run organization than the Oilers. At least they accept that changes need to happen. The Oilers just stubbornly keep trotting out the same trash management and coaching even tho it's clear as day the entire team and fan base has given up on them.
