i expect 5-6 points, but knowing the Kings, i wouldnt be surprised to see 2-4 points

I don't get starting Cal after the long layoff. Quick has proven to be the better tender, yet he'll have to play after another few extra days off against Vegas? Why not let Cal sit until the weekend? Cal just came off a crazy long break and played well in his return last month. I expect Quick to have plenty of rust and for the Kings to get worked in their next game.

He was playing well before the break and he's the future. I think Cal is going to have to massively fall off before Quick is clearly the number 1.

You start your clear #1 in the first game back from a long break. Of course, maybe they are saving Quick for Vegas but fatigue seems like faulty reasoning with a 2 day break between games after a long break. Quick beat the Oilers 5-1 in the first game, but recency was ignored in favor of Cal.

Has Quick played better the entire season? Yes. Has Cal played comparatively well recently? Yes. Is Cal the heir apparent? Yes. That's why I suppose he started Monday. If Quick was the clear #1, he would have started that game, the Vegas game, and one of the AZ games.

FWIW, I think Quick is the #1 goaltender this season unless his play falls off a cliff or Petersen starts playing Vezina caliber hockey. If the playoffs started today, Quick would be my playoff starter.

Of course. Just note: I don't think Cal is the clear number 1, either. I think the team wants to transition Cal to that clear number 1, but Quick isn't letting that happen which I hope is motivational for Cal. Hence we have a platoon situation.
