Some flyers fans actually don’t understand the value of physicality. They think you should just skate around w a carton of eggs in the corner and not break any. I’m assuming they have never watched the playoffs.

The fact that it was a bad trade does not mean he is a bad dman and it does not mean 5 mill is a bad deal. Provy is making 6.75. There is no way he is 1.75 mill better than Risto…

I’ll take him any day on my second pair at 5 mill, but without a doubt would not have done that trade.

Before you folks pull out your scientific calculators and feed me a bunch of nonsense remember this, the flyers have one of the largest analytics staffs in the league. Their opinion matters. Maybe their team of experts crunches the numbers a bit differently then the gms here?

Otherwise anyone can just pull an analytics report which is available for free and simply run your team using those metrics. We can fire all scouts and analytics experts as well since we should just be using the free reports we are all privy to and leverage them for all hockey Opps decisions moving forward.

Can you provide anything that validates your claim they have one of the largest analytics staffs in the league.

does there proprietary data differ than what's made to the public? Yes no doubt. If you think it is that much diff than what's out there I would disagree. Nothing their analytics teams has can make RR look good. They have an old archaic approach and that is why they like RR. Nothing more.

Not one person said to use analytics 100% in making decisions. I is a tool to use.

I don’t need underlying analytics to tell me that Ristolainen is not a good player. I have eyes. If he was being paid 2 million to add some physicality while playing limited minutes on the third pair, I could live with him. Paying him 5.1 million to play in the top 4 is just a recipe for qualifying for the draft lottery.

My prediction is in the summer Chuckle phuck pulls a shooter deal. Instead of Richards and Carter it will be Ivan and Sanheim.

Development cycle in full effect.

The constant yo-yoing of Frost and York is just more damming evidence of the incompetence of Fletcher. Repeated talk of what is the best thing for the player only to call him right up when there is an I injury. This team is going nowhere. The development of young players should take precedence. Frost should've been up and centering a scoring line with good players and not sent down in the first place.

Bad enough to make a mistake like Ristolainen’s acquisition but to double down on it by extending him, rather than cutting your losses by dealing him, is inexcusable

What makes it worse is it is MacDonald all over again....spend way too much to acquire a very mediocre defense then re-sign to justify the cost. What is the definition of insanity (or stupidity in tis case)

My hope for this sad organization is gone, as well. They can't do a damn thing right. They struggle to develop talent, they pay the wrong players too much money Fletcher can't even be relied on to make a trade that favors the flyers, Our "talent pool" has regressed so badly....

Every core player has regressed the last few seasons. Every single one. And now there are rumors that CF is going to ship out two of our top 4 D after signing RR to that extension?!

I love the flyers but for my own mental health and stability I may be done watching them for quite a while... These next 3 seasons are going to hurt worse than any season I can recall.
Eda death has destroyed this once proud franchise. Comcast is Garbage ownership. Bobby and Homey need to go and go far far away and take CF and Dave Scott with them. Gut this franchise starting with the terds at the top
