If the Rangers hadn't slept through the second period they likely win that one in regulation. Gallant had two reactions caught on camera that were very telling: The first was Schneider getting beat on Grant's goal (Gallant was furious, something MSG doesn't usually show), and the second was his bewilderment at the skill of Panarin and Fox winning it in OT. Great stuff.
By the way, having watched Grant more than a few times this season, although he's just under 52% right now, lately he appears to be dominant on faceoffs. Maybe the Rangers can get him for the stretch and playoffs. |

Schneider for the first time that I noticed had a really rough game. Zegras completely undressed him too earlier in the game. He’ll be fine. He did amazing things also

Agreed. But, I think that if this were to be the low point for Schneider, we would all sign up for it.
Zegras has made more experienced defensemen look bad, too. |

You all know my view of him. By the way, MSG was asleep the first two plus periods. They woke up late especially after the PPG and place finally was rocking. |

I thought it seemed to have that vibe. Can be hard to tell sometimes while listening to Statler and Waldorf. |

29 points for Panarin in last 22 games
we don't have a whole lot of 100 point scorers in our history
he can do it, especially with multiple games against Devils, Flyers, Buffalo yet to come where he can put up 5 points in a game

I don't think Zegras making Schneider look bad was what Gallant was pissed about; more that he was out of position before Zegras even passed him. When Gallant plays rookies I'm sure he expects their mistakes from time to time and and that the coaches will rectify them -- these things are easier to take, especially when the top talent can cover for their teammates. |

I know people give Nemeth crap a lot, but he hasn't been bad, and I believe it was his defensive play reading that undressing of Schneider that stopped him from going in on Georgie |

Looks like the Golden Knights are trending out of the playoff picture. Wouldn't that be something to see? |
