FLA has no first rounder this year or next. I would expect any trade with them to begin with one.

It’s Tippett and 2023 2nd and 3rd rounders

I’d rather get a couple NHL ready prospects anyway, rather than worry about who has a 1st rounder. After all, that would better help the quick retool.

So Chiarot gets a 1st, but not Giroux?

Tippett was a 10th overall, so they kinda sorta do.

Yeah, but he's 23 and not in the NHL. That doesn't bode well.

Panthers are the deepest team in the NHL @ forward. The could afford not to play him.

Yeah, why would they want play a 10th overall stud on an ELC? Because he's not that good.

He’s not a world beater, no. Better skating Hornqvist would be my comparison.

Giroux is not traveling with the team to Ottawa. No deal in place tonight but it's brewing.

Not saying this to anyone here, but everywhere I look, people are freaking out that the Flyers won’t get a 1st rounder if it’s FLA or COL (which would’ve been about a 30th pick). Everyone wants a prospect and a 1st. How about better than that? 2 prospects who can play NHL hockey! Never a guarantee that a late 1st will ever make the NHL. I don’t get the Tippett hate. He’s still 11 years younger than Giroux. Typical Philly fans.

Panthers’ pbp guy just dropped a tease during the second period about “there may be another new Panther on the way” or something along those lines. Idk if he knows, or is just alluding to the rumors swirling tonight.

That’s my reservation, but tell me where he fits in on that line up waiting to enter the playoffs.

They’re deep. Really deep.

Tippet would be getting his toes wet already on most teams.

Tippet is better than 90% of late first round picks
people just hear first and assume you are guaranteed a star

60% of 20-30 picks don't even play 200 NHL games

Yeah, certainly. Emotional night, all about the 1000th game in a Flyer uniform and all of the memories that come with it.... yeah no doubt they wouldn't even give him a night of peace, they wanna get him out the door immediately after this stupid ceremony is over.

Maybe Giroux is one of the last Loyal players out there and just want’s to stay in Philly.

He bleeds Orange.

Well Hörnqvist is a multi cup winner playing a proeminent role. Tippet is not on his status for sure.
