Just FYI, it’s the Laval Rocket (the Titan was Mario Lemieux’s QMJHL team, if I recall my high school years correctly).

Both the parent team and the minor league team BURIED on the same night. That's organizational depth I tell ya! Damn that Makar guy sucks!! So glad Hexy wanted Patrick instead! Looks like it must have been another pedestrian night for Frosty, but I'm sure he played the right way. Thanks!

To quote Jim Jackson from late in the game last night: "Oh ... that 2017 draft". Yup, that about sums it up.

Ivan Provorov has only ONE even strength primary assist over the past two seasons.

This is our "#1 defender" who plays upwards of 30 mins on some nights. In over 2200 mins of even strength play, only a single lonely primary assist.

And we wonder why this team struggles to get up the ice and score goals. And we wonder why Provorov is helpless without a Niskanen.

Another goose egg game for Frost with a -1 & 2 shots. Not sure what new excuse we can come up for this guy, but I for one have seen more than enough from him. I would trade him in the off season if he even has any value. Even Hodgson and Tippet had 13 scoring chances last night, they couldn't capitalize which is a different problem but at least you notice them on the ice. Another strong game from York.

Is not looking good for one Morgan Frost. Looks like another miss like JOB and Ginning from the prior GM. Way to many early misses have obviously hurt big time.

Just ride it out as is a mid rd pick worth it to trade? Unless you get a guys back in a similar situation. The classic change of scenery move

Yandle another minus night in in what 10 minutes. Hopefully Chuck signs Kessel next seaso to help him with his streak. Only way to keep the flyers in the news.

Hodgson is a very nice story. He doesn't look out of place. Though will reserve judgment until end of season. Highly doubtful anything more than a call up guy here and there.

Sad when guys like him and willman outplay flyers draft picks. So much organizational depth it was said.

Yeah, I noticed that quick quote too. Jonesy just left it alone. This team needs to use the rest of this season as a true measuring stick as to who wants to play and who doesn't. It's the same thing night after night with Frost. You see a burst of hope(speed) and then nothing...nada....zilch. He NEVER finishes a play. As soon as someone catches up with him they immediately claim ownership of the puck and that's all she wrote. I still have major doubts that he is even an NHL player. Thanks again Hexy. I hope you ruin the Pens next, but that probably won't happen cause that organization is smart enough to have hired Brian Burke to babysit him.

"They're going to be so good," said McGuire, the NBCSN analyst, after the Flyers selected Nolan Patrick with the second pick of Friday night's NHL draft.

"They were a non-playoff team but I'm going to go on the air and say the Philadelphia Flyers will make the playoffs this year and they will be a beast to play against," McGuire said. "I think (Flyers coach) Dave Hakstol has a murderers' row of young players to play with in Philadelphia. I think they will be one of the more exciting teams in the Eastern Conference going forward."

Asked about Patrick specifically, McGuire said, "He reminds me of Eric Staal, who was coincidentally the second overall pick in 2003."

I recall him saying this on nbc. Quite funny looking back. Quite sad as well.

I kind of feel like Hayes and Farabee are the only above average forwards on this team right now. Everyone else, it’s the same thing night after night. Interchangeable mediocrity.

This game was the measuring stick for how close or how far off the Flyers are in competing with the elite. I know Coots and Ellis would’ve helped somewhat but not nearly. Look at the AV’s overall team speed and skill compared to the Flyers. But also, notice the killer instinct that they have. Analytics doesn’t show that! The Flyers need to draft really well over the next couple years. Strap in Flyers fans. It’s gonna be a while...

That game last night was depressing. Colorado looks like they are playing a different game than the Flyers. It’s amazing to me that the Flyers can be both slow and inaccurate with their passes. You’d think with all the time they take to make a play they could atleast put the puck in a position for their teammate to receive it.

Chuck needs to add two high talent forwards this off season in my opinion. One he should be able to get in the draft. The other, he’s going to have to trade for or find a way to sign.

I’m praying for another Edmonton collapse so maybe they’ll entertain offers on Draisaitl this summer.

I was thinking NHL vs. AHL. They move the puck, Skate with speed inside a structure. Passes are crisp, tape to tape. Any player looks good. MacDermid did not look out of place at all. If he were a Flyer it there would be endless debate about how we don’t need him, that’s archaic thinking, we only need speed and skill. Truth is guys like him fit in fine to a team with an abundance of skill and speed if they are deployed properly.

No excuse needed. Did you watch the game?

Two shots on goal: One of them was a point blank save by Francouz. He also distributed to Tippett, Willman or Hodgson for 3-4 scoring chances.

Minus-one: A Makar goal off a faceoff. Frost had zero to do with the play.

Frost and Tippett have shown hints of chemistry and Frost has been playing strong two-way games all week at center (last night was just OK in terms of overall details).

I don’t think they would ever move him. He may be the second best player in the world…or at least top 5. I guess if we’re gonna dream…dream big.

I say just leave the kid with Tippet and another decent winger and let him play the final 18 games to find his confidence. Defensively he’s markedly better…he just needs one or two to get off the shnide. Same with Tippet…I like this kid.
