Yandle's next 989 consecutive game streak starts tonight!! |

It's obvious Oskar has been fighting it a little bit lately, but JVR probably should be on that 4LW. Line 2 and 3 should be interesting. |

Hayden Hodgson should be in the lineup. Mind boggling he is not. |

Would either team make this deal:
Laughton for Middelstadt |

Me thinks Laughton and Tippett would make a good duo on a line. |

I’m still high on him. These guys seem to be changing their rankings all around based on recent performance. - hereticpride
It happens leading up to every draft. The consensus rankings from early and mid season won't hold up since kids make progress so quickly at that age. Like how Hischier rocketed up the rankings after the 2017 U20 WJC and beat out Patrick who had been considered consensus #1 for years. Stuff changes fast. |

Better line balance but Lindblom doesn't belong on the 4th line. Seeler should be in over Yandle. |

Mittelstadt played only one year in the NCAA before playing for the Sabres at 19. His development is lagging but he looks like part of their future. Philly should be all over that if offered. I don’t see it. But it’s the Sabres. Lol.

He still has some untapped potential obviously. Not sure with all their youth where he fits as been hurt. Laughton for them is a young vet who can help them take the next step. Just a thought.
Well the Sabres fleeced Chuck. Only team they came out ahead on. Let that sink in......

I saw him play in HS and college and he has great speed, skill and IQ. But he’s struggled at the pro level. His size has been a factor. Recently, they played the Wild and he was all over the ice creating chances. Best player on the ice. Wild couldn’t contain him at all. Maybe he was motivated by his local roots. It shows what he can do. But if he doesn’t do that consistently, I could see him getting moved.

A player I would take a chance on no doubt. Another one of those guys who just may need a change of scenery to put it together.

Should be a highly skilled, crisply played game this evening. Surprised this isn't the ESPN+ exclusive game. |

They used a precious recall on Hodgson presumably to see if he had an NHL future, and now they are sitting him for old man Thompson? |

Absolutely mind-boggling. Especially considering the excuses they used for scratching Yandle (and I don't care that they did that). Thompson's 37 and has no future with this team and Hodgson could be in the mix for a bottom six role next year.
Unless of course they plan on re-signing Thompson, which nothing would surprise me at this point. |

You dont think Buffalo came in ahead on the Eichel trade?
They got 2 young 1st round drafted players in Kreb and Tuch a 1st round pick in 2022 and a 2nd round pick in 2023 for Eichel and they might not even make the playoffs. In fact they have several guys stuck on the LTIR because of Eichel.
Krebs is going to be a very good playmaker in the NHL

Team needs to make up your mind. Are you playing the kids or not? You bench yandle saying you want to play the kids and then you sit Hodgson for Thompson the same game...... Now he's being sat again and both Thompson and Yandle are playing.......
If you want Thompson to play so badly sit JVR, sit ANYONE who doesnt have a future on this team......
Does Yeo create his lineup by pulling names out of a hat? |
