Fletcher: we suck though here is a blank check and your retirement contract. Just say Philly was your choice all along and always wanted to be a flyer.

Kadri GMKA here with Buffalo. how about you come play on the Sabres for the next three years. I will outline why it well be so much fun.

#1, we got rid of that "Shatty Defensmen" (Montour) and we are not a Shatty team anymore, with you being our 2nd line center we can do some real damage.

#2, As you know we are close to Toronto so you can go full Kadri on them at least 6 times a year. Think about, could be really fun.....You can stick it to your old team and "hopefully" stick that Matthews guy while your at it.

#3, We will pay you 24 Million over 3 years

Whoever signs Kadri will regret it, IMO.

Career high of 60 points prior to this year, 5 years ago.

I stay far far away from that contract.

Good 2nd line center, will be a good 3rd line guy in 2 years.

Going to get 7+ a year for long 5 years.

I'm thinking Anaheim. They have the Cap room, he fits their longstanding identity which they've lost quite a bit between trades and retirements and Naz seems like a S. CA kind of guy - I know he loved Kobe.

I wish the Avs had room for him but there was little chance before the season started and next to no chance after the season he's had. He's going to get a bundle. I hope he stays out of the Central and out of the West.

As you are aware, Monahan will not be returning. Backlund has moved on. We have needs at C. As effective as Monny was for us, we are in need of grit, scoring and swagger. We, in Calgary, feel you are an ideal fit. We would slot you in at 2C. Roving our top 2 lines in and out for 1PP unit, you will definitely get you look at PP time. I am confident you will see your fair share of 1st line minutes too. We have moved money around effectively where we can sign Tkachuk, Gaudreau and you. As you can see and have experienced first hand, we have a great core. A mix of up and coming youth and veterans. Our city is passionate. Our team is competitve and setup to go deep in the playoffs. We feel we have the peices to compliment your incredible skillset.

We are prepared to offer you $7.25 x4

Eternal notes - Backlund and his $5m+ traded, Lucic $6m bought out, Monny $6.5m either traded or bought out. Huge savings here

I was thinking Calgary is a good fit also but is he going there after he turned down a trade? Also, as gritty and hard working as his reputation is, his work ethic can be a bit streaky (except for this season). Either that would drive Sutter nuts or Sutter would keep it from occurring. He'd be a really good fit on that team for the most part though. Despite his popular reputation he'd be a good fit on a lot of teams. He's just about the perfect 2C.

He only vetoed that trade because he wanted to stay in Toronto. He had nothing but good things to say about Calgary. So its an option.

Not quite a Hart candidate. Solid season for sure, but his numbers are still lower than several others. He should get some votes but he isnt a Hart quality player

He will receive Hart votes, sure. But this is a guy playing out of his mind who'll be 32 at the start of next season. You're going to give him 1st line money and 5+?

This is a gracious thing to say, but you want to establish credibility with your pitch to Kadri.

He’s a good player having a career year surrounded by great talent on a great team.

Stay away.

He will never come close to numbers like this again.

Well a window of being a useful middle-six center for most of the duration of the contract is probably attractive to a contender, if there's any that can afford him. I don't think that'll be a big regret.

Agree on the 5 years, that's pretty much how long I think he ultimately signs for.

I like how the pitches have to be reasonable and if you don't have cap space you have to explain how it would work. Maybe something we can all start doing...

I think (insert your team’s biggest rivals name here) has some cap space they’re looking to use.

Steve Yzerman says…. “Hi Naz, this is Steve Yzerman. Congrats on a great season. We have a spot for you in Detroit. Moritz Seider would prefer to not use his filthy reverse hits if you pick another team for the next several years. We love your grit and knack for scoring. Come join… we call it the Yzerplan.”

Eklund: UFA2B Friday. You’re the GM. Make a Pitch for Nazem Kadri
- Eklund

Hi Nazim; that's a weird name isn't it? Anyway, have a seat.

Look, we're looking to make the playoffs for some extra tickets but we don't want to really invest in being a contender. So what we need is someone who can help us in the standings in the regular season, then poop the bed by doing something ridiculously stupid and getting a lengthy suspension in the playoffs. We think that could be you. Whadda ya say?
