Thanks Carol! Hope the Canucks make the playoffs, JTM & Myers & Richardinson & Poolman have a huge impact in the playoffs, and then the Canucks sell high in the off season |

Our top plus minus guy. Who'd have thunk?
Well, I can think of one guy.😁
I'd be OK if he stayed over Poolman. Our right side depth might need him around another season or so.
Thanks Carol |

Good game last night. A shame they couldn't close it in regulation. Petey and Horvat have been bananas.
As long as the Kings lose tonight, I'll be happy. |

Thanks Carol, I'm happy if we play spoiler to Vegas, that would be a big feather in our cap for this year. |

Everyone complains the Canucks never sell high Getting rid of one of the bad contracts on this team would be a bit boon for the offseason. I understand the Canucks RHD is severely lacking, and Myers isn't the nightly trash bag he was last season, but getting out from the next two seasons of Myers' 6 mil cap hit would be huge, especially if teams gave up some assets for him! |

You still have to pay to replace his minutes. His play 5 on 5 is part of the reason we're among the league's best in that category. His PK play has been stellar and we've been one of the best over the last couple of months.
I'm not sure the assets you get in return could replace what he's providing the team defensively. That's not selling high, that's selling for the sake of selling. That's a good recipe for regression. |

While I agree he is carrying a load for the team this season, and holding his own more this year (though still not up to the level of his contract), you have to see where the team is at/will be the next two years, versus what he'll provide over those years. Is getting assets and cap space better for the long term outlook of the Canucks, or is having him eat minutes and keep up some decent level of play (though probably with some regression) better for the long term outlook of the Canucks?
Clearly, for me, it's the former. While Myers is playing well this year, I don't think he's a) playing up to his contract, and b) going to be helping the team long term/achieve their long term goals.
Perhaps this team needs a little regression before taking better steps forward. Benning never wanted to take a step backwards to take two forward, and that's how this team has stayed so mediocre while being capped out. |

Only seen the last 10 minutes .Garland made some very good plays. Petey had some good chances.
I keep seeing people say move this guy and that guy but I say add a significant piece instead. I mostly like the team . I don't see Boeser coming in under 5 mil so if I was spending 7.5 mil on a scoring forward it certainly wouldn't be him.
Guys on my list would be
Kane
Domi
Nichushkin
Zacha
Heinen
Nino N
All of them under 5 mil.
Minivan made a proposal that I liked last week . Amia and a second for Brock. I know Armia only has 5 goals but he brings speed toughness and is cheap for a few more years. |

Of the 2 rightys I still think Poolman would be the best guy to try to move because of term. Myers you can afford to ride a year and a bit into the next trade deadline (the deadline following next season's), where I think his value will be at it's highest.
If you need to free cap space, dump a forward or 2. They're easier to replace than solid RD's who can eat hard minutes. |
