How can you say Geno "like many russian centers" like to be #1, while he has played behind Sid for 15 years. what a (frank)ing dumb thought to have. you spout it constantly every year. Like how many times can you be wrong, without any self reflection. |

Chicago is weak at center. Toews is not the player he was during the Cup run and his health is questionable. Strome is not a #1 guy either and Dach and Reichel are a few years away from challenging for that spot. The bonus is you get Kane and Debrincat as your wingers. We're in a rebuild but we're not tanking and would love to play well into the postseason. We know that injuries can hamper a successful season so if we're not close to contention by the deadline you'll have a long line of teams begging for your services and you'll have your choice of destination (just ask your buddy Fleury).
We're offering you 8M for 1 year. |

Why is Monahan not returning or Backlund? I feel like if you are going to put out a proposal like that, you kind of have to explain how you open up the cap space. Not that they'll just not be here. 11.6mil ish cap space is just going to open up for Kadri? |

While he would like to be the #1 guy, he is not all that excited about talking to the media. So where ever he goes, someone else has to be the person that gets interviewed after the game. Thats sid or letang. Thats why phil lasted for a bit in Pgh. He just had to play. So i would look to Florida and LA. He owns a home not too far from the Panthers arena and his wife loves it there. But she wants to be famous so LA may be next for her. He stayed in LA while awaiting his contract being worked out with his agent when he first came over in 05.
He would be 2C behind Barkov in Florida and 2C behind Kopitar in LA. FL has 15 players signed and $71M spent while LA has 14 players signed and spent $61M for next year. But does LA want Kopitar (age 34), Geno (age 35) and Brown (age 37)?? I am going with the Panthers as the best offer. 4 years/$8M per year. No state tax and he can go to his home each night.
That being said, look for him to resign in Pgh. 3 years, 7.5M/yr. |

My sympathies and prayers to the Bossy family, friends and fans. Tough year for the Islanders with Gillies, Jean Potvin and Bossy all gone. RIP.

One year, $15 million, and you have access to the Pegulas' private jet when you need it.
You bring the Sabres to a wild card playoff spot next season you're a walking legend in Buffalo until you die. |

Geno can move on He is no longer a driving force consistantly in this lineup Time for a change of scenery He has become stale and that does not taste good Go team up with OVI |

Star players take so much abuse out there while the refs look the other way. Good on Malkin for playing tough. Now...would someone please do that to Marchand?
Be great. |

Welcome to Florida Mr Malkin. I hope you slept well in the home you already own here, and had a chance to catch up with friends like Hornqvist and Barkov.
We are still trying to rest from just winning the Stanley Cup and are so glad you want to chase another ring.
We’d like you to come in and be our number 1 center, with Hart Trophy candidate Huberdeau on your wing. You will get all the offensive zone starts, as Barkov takes the heavy defensive minutes against our opponents top lines. In combination you will have a career year from a points perspective, be challenging for another Hart yourself, and have a shot to fill the last two fingers on your hand with rings.
$7.5M for 3 years, and no state taxes!
Welcome home! |

Here's his response:
Why? The league has minimal punishment for players being horrible. I could use a few games off. I'll remain a repeat offender. Thanks. |

GM’s: we’ll give you 10 mill per for max term and a NMC. All you have to do is condemn the war in Ukraine and denounce all of your past support of Putin and it’s done.

Malkin, like many Russian centers, do like being constidered the #1 Center on the team… This somehow sounds dumber every single time you say it, Ek. |

So the pitch for Kadri after the year he has had is “slot” him in on the second line?
If he is truly a top line center is irrelevant, but if I’m him I would want to be paid like one. |

Still waiting for the league to do something about ov his love affair with a homicidal maniac. Why again should I be excited about him chasing a streak? |
