The Sabres remember this well, including the injury coming right when he was playing well.

Okposo should be a lock for the Sabres Rico Award and it wouldn't surprise me if he got some votes for the Masterton.

Next season I'd give him the C, with Tuch and Dahlin getting an A.

Victor Olofsson missed eight games in November with a wrist injury that restricted his ability to shoot the puck. The injury forced Olofsson to put more emphasis on other aspects of his game to make him a more complete player, rather than just a goal scorer.  

It's paid off recently. Olofsson snapped his 30-game goal scoring drought with two goals, including the game-winner, against the New York Islanders on February 15. He has 11 goals and seven assists since that night, including 11 points (6+5) in his last 10 games.
