Nobody is an exact clone. Cozens just doesn't score on wide open looks... just like Václav Varaďa. He also plays a similar style semi tough game.

I think its just a matter of getting more comfortable. All these kids have so much potential to grow. I wouldn't label them as this guy or that guy just yet. I would wait until the rookie contract expires. But to each their own.

I get the inference on the missed chances but calling him varada is just downright wrong. Varada’s sole purpose was to crash the boards, when he scored it was almost always some fluke bouncing puck. I really didn’t see his value to the nhl other than that Buffalo wanted to out hit other teams.

Cozens seems more like Grier. Strong on neutral zone takeaways, tries to score 10ft around the net, always crashes. The biggest similarity is that they both have games with tons of good chances yet they rarely get on the scoresheet.

I would like cozens more if he was just a little more skilled. He has everything else. He doesn’t need to be Zegras skill wise but just improve
