Didnt expect so many penalties called last night.

Here's the breakdown:

Bos - 0 for 3 Car - 0 for 3

Tampa - 0 for 5 Tor - 1 for 6

Stl - 2 for 6 Min - 0 for 6

LA - 0 for 4 Edm - 2 for 4

Rangers had 12 power plays the last 5 regular season games combined.

I wouldn’t hold your breath on the penguins getting called for too many penalties

Rangers have to be aware of Crysby, letang, and malkin baiting the officials! When things don’t go their way. Also we have to make the pens surrender the neutral zone with our speed! Pens are older and slow have to take advantage of that imo! LETS GO RANGERS!

Very fair article. I think your prediction of Rangers in 6 is probably a good bet. The Penguins have slowed down in the second half after a really impressive first half. They are still capable of producing 5 on 5 and have a very streaky PP. As you noted, 20th is not impressive, but we've seen large stretches where the Penguins powerplay is either invisible or lights out. Depends which one shows up.

Rakell is currently with Malkin, but dont be surprised when he moves up to Sid's line and Rust drops down. No idea why Sullivan isnt making this change to begin with. Rakell and Crosby have had a lot of chemistry whereas Malkin and Rust have played well together.

Goaltending will be the difference maker. I expect multiple games where the Penguins play well 5 on 5, maybe even have a material edge, but they cant beat the goaltending. A lot of guys on this team can play, but cant put the puck in the net. Carter and Kapanen are Exhibits A and B.

All in all, I think a lot of Penguins fans have a doom and gloom attitude. I think it will be a close series.

Game day boys! []

Don't usually drink during the week, but I'm thinking about picking up some NY beer for the game.
Hoptical Illusion got us to the SCF back in 2014, then bought by Bud, so that's out. Any suggestions? Have to stick with whatever I pick up if we win tonight. Right now thinking Wrench from Industrial Arts.

gotta give massive credit to Jordan Staal on faceoffs

Patrice Bergeron doesn't lose 15 faceoffs in one game very often

Dude was tossing Bergeron around like a ragdoll in the corners. Really tried to physically take the fight out of the bruins. It was neat to watch.
