Ben Shelley: Kings shut out Oilers in Game 4 to even series

The refs are trying their hardest to hand PPs to EDM. Their dmen grab and hold with the free hand and no call, a King does it and it's 2 for holding. Absolute crap calls. Call it all or dont call any of them.

dont forget the pick plays and the phantom calls of holding yesterday where it was a slight push at best, not a hold... and yet we get 2 mins. Then McDavid whines about a call against him..

I good I thought I was the only one seeing it. McDavid and the rest get away with alot of calls. Thank god we had the kids sit this game and hopefully the rest of the series and let the men play men. GKG.

Kopitar is literally sitting on players on the ice, laying full body press without calls. For all the complaining about clutching and grabbing and officials, maybe a mirror would do you good because every shift you guys are doing it to us as well. Can't count on two hands and feet the amount of times Kings players are clutching and grabbing as the Oilers are going up the ice. I've seen them full on reach around without a call, one hand off the stick, one hand on and they use both hands to hold each arm.
Officiating is crap in all series. They aren't falling all over themselves to give us PPs. If anything they aren't giving enough (that goes both ways).

GTFOH Slappy... Drais so much as trips on the blue line and an arm goes up. Stick gets wacked out of Moore's hand at the side of Smith and no call. I would be happy if they called them both ways, because I've seen Kopi go to the box for the hold, not Ceci though...

i need a visual of this.... i personally think it is hard to wear a hockey glove and have your hand on your stick and have that same hand hold on to someone... maybe it's just me..


i will admit that some calls have been missed against the kings; however, Oilers are guilty of diving in order to draw penalties...

it's funny that the Oilers fans are complaining about the refs. If the Oilers stuck to playing hockey instead of trying to goon it up, they probably wouldnt be in this position.

I wonder what will come of that Kane hit on Lizotte. Will he get suspended? Both hit to head and kneeing on the play. and then there is Nurse with his headbutt.

The Kings have clearly frustrated and rattled the Oilers.

Kane def is deserving of a one-gamer... just not a hockey play, pure intent to injure. And Nurse? He lost his (frank)ing mind on that play... should also get a long look by the league.

I thought this same thing yesterday watching the game: the Oilers take the body when they should be using their speed and skill, and they use their speed and skill when they should be taking the body. It really seems their approach is just off the last 2 games.
