Condolences to the Boeser family.
Looks like Gary's refs have made there way into the gold medal game.
What a brutal call. |

The Hurricanes/Hartford Whalers are 6-3 in Game 7 but 6-0 since relocating from Hartford in 1997. Carolina is 3-0 at home, including a 3-2 win against the Boston Bruins in the first round.
I wonder if the Whalers would have even had to relocate had they won a few game 7's. |

They played in a (frank)ing mall arena. I think a new arena, or lack there of, might have more than something to do with it their relocation |

Oh I just mean the ASU one. It’s should be full and loud. It’s a joke but it should be fun. 25 minute drive instead of 60 🎉 |

Dons not wrong.
Tiny lil stadium, watching McDavid or whoever rope a dope the Yotes.
Tix cheap as chips. Should’ve full every game.
I bet it’d be a good vibe.
But it’s still a joke. |

Beyond a joke, it'd be like the Canucks having to play every game in Burnaby 8-Rinks |

Tickets are very cheap now in their old stadium. I think I read roughy $55 US per seat on average. In their new mini-stadium, the tix ain’t cheap at all. See below. Average cost per seat will be $110. Twice as much.

https://canucksarmy.com/2...ptain-bo-horvat-contract/
Using this article the $ & term are an obvious priority on both sides. I don’t think Bo will be greedy & the team would want a team friendly to some degree. So if it were I this will be a very serious negotiation & how the 2 sides discuss it should be a combined process. JR/PA should let him know he’s an integral part of the team & NMC will be part of the deal. On the team side anything Bo would leaves on the table would go to building a winner aka contender. He should have some say in this if he agrees to a haircut. He can let his thoughts be known on JTM & others needing to be signed as part of the negotiations. He knows the cap situation like everyone does & going forward he knows team 1st is the way to win.
So what would be the next contract?
He is 27yrs old.
He’s been around the Sedins.
He’s had a taste of the PO’s.
He’s had inconsistent wingers.
Team needs more depth.
He’s been great for the team.
He’s worked hard all his career.
He’s earned the captaincy.
He’s seen the rough times.
8/6m takes him to 35 & it is a shave but max years.
6/6.75m til 33 is more likely but leaves 7.5m for his twilight years.
I might be grinding him lol |

I haven’t been to a game in a decade, but that still seems cheap for lower bowl, no?
How much are tickets to Canucks games these days?
I’m gonna be back in town this December. Hope to catch a Canucks or Giants game with my kid.
Any season ticket holder’s here?

Success leads to new rinks. The probably averaged over 14000 fans for 4 years in that small rink. They had guys like Francis, Dineen, Pronger.
They won 1 playoff series in their existence. I'd say winning a few more would have gone a long way towards a new arena. |

Used to be. I was, bloate just to name a couple.
I gave mine up when I moved, bloated gave his up. I would have given them up under recent management anyways.
It's one thing to watch young and promising players come up. It's another completely to watch overpaid UFA's impeding the growth of the team. |

Sayulita Jaibos baseball team is also fun for your kid. Every Sunday home game, great atmosphere, cheap drinks, peanuts, Spanish heckling.
