Some people aren't nihilists and actually do.
He'd be a good add on a limited term (3 years?). He'll want ~7mm for that. I don't see Kadri's leverage at this point for a longer deal. Cap space has vanished. |

I’d be ecstatic with 3 years @ 7 per. And as you say, most teams are severely strapped for cash at the moment.
All that said, I just can’t see him signing such a deal. He’d likely rather go the single year option, as did Klingberg. |

I do not think Kadri does a one year deal. I think he looks for term. Depending on the term depends on whether or not it is a good move Isles to sign Kadri.
Let face the facts we did not win with what we had. I believe he bring another element to the team. Is the piece that brings us to the promise land? I do not think so but he will move the needle in that direction. |

Yknow, somebody had to design it, somebody had to make it, somebody had to wear it, and somebody had to record it.
And most likely that wasn’t just one individual.
That’s quite a few people who thought “Yknow what would be hilarious?”
But it is, tho. It’s totally hilarious. |

David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period is reporting that the Blackhawks are engaged with teams in discussions revolving around Patrick Kane. He also noted that the Dallas Stars are among the teams that are the most recently interested.
Pagnotta certainly isn’t always spot on with his rumors but I would rather have Kane any day of the week then Kadri. I wonder if Chicago really has had a change of heart with trading him? |

I get the impression he doesn’t have the coordination or athletic prowess to ride a bike. |

Not sure we have enough? And what is enough? Raty, Dufour, Beau and a 2023 1st and 2024 2nd? As long as he extends his contract. And what number is that? Would love Kane, but Kadri is most likely what's happened. This quiet this long is all Lou! |

Still cannot figure out why Lou who needs a scoring winger keeps talking about Kadri. I do not understand why he would not be interested in Tarasenko of the Blues. He only has one year left, cap hit $7.5M but his actual salary is $5.5M, and Lou could send back a player to the Blues that would make the cap hit even less. Tarasenko wants to play in NY and this would be a good fit, and then Lou can decide what he wants to do after the coming season or if the Islanders are in trouble, he can move Vlady at the trade deadline. |

Tarasenko is a good fit for us. Not really sure what the asking price is right now? We don’t have a whole heck of a lot to trade for him. Kadri has a history with Lou and by all accounts he’s a big fan of his game. He also doesn’t cost any assets and only requires moving salary(obviously no easy feat). With that said I don’t disagree with your post. In a dream scenario, which will most likely not happen, we sign Kadri and find a way to also add tarasenko. |

Yeah all signs are pointing to Kadri being locked up but never count out the unexpected with Lameriello. Nobody really ever knows what’s going on with the guy
We read all the same stuff from the same writers and eventually get programmed to believe it as fact. I would not be shocked to see Lou went in a completely different direction. I can see him saying Kadri wasn’t even a thought |

I just can't imagine that Kadri would wait around this long if he didn't have a deal in place, that'd be real risky for him |

I agree, but with all things Lameriello I don’t fully believe something is happening until it does. |

Having 2 centers on the top line certainly wouldn't hurt.. especially when Barzal gets tossed 90% of the time... and when he actually does take a face off he loses 60% of them. |

I would consider moving Brock to Barzy's wing and let Kadri center the second line. Barzy's ability to create time and space would be a pretty lethal combination with Brock's shot. You could also allow Brock to take some face offs on Barzy's behalf. |

Interesting thought. I don’t believe they’ve ever played together on the same line. |
