I'm pretty content with our offseason. Not worried about being a cap team. The contracts we want to come off are gone next season. Really not any terrible contracts on the books (maybe Palat but more so later years). Overall a pretty solid offseason for Fitzy, while spending up to the cap

Pain for Shane started before the 10th game I believe.

Stop it.. palat will make all the difference. He makes his linemates, who would otherwise still be 100pt players, better cuz he’s so well-rounded! Clearly whatever line he’s on will take the next step. Nico will be a 70pt 1st overall pick, Bratt will build on last season’s success, Sharangovich will score 30, Jack will go 30/50. Tatar will by default have a resurgence for 30 goals. Holtz is a Calder finalist with 30 goals scored from the same spot in the ice. And Wood gets 20ppg. Haula will propel his line to a +80 average, and Vanacek will be a Vezina finalist. Nemec will have 30ppp. Baal will have 300 hits and 200 blocks and go +40.

We’re playoff bound because of all the growth and changes we’ve made!!

Probably picking 8th overall again. Maybe next year.

There’s a generational talent this year right? If that’s the case we won’t win the lotto this season but definitely next it’s as good as ours.

Waiting for “it puts more money in the players’ pockets”. No it doesn’t. It’s a travesty. The ice is becoming a billboard, the helmets.. okay we can get used to an advertisement on a warrior’s head.. and now the jerseys, the very representation of the team players play for and fans cheer for. Looks stupid in the NBA but looks even worse here. If there’s anything that’s supposed to be “hallowed ground”, other than the Cup.. it’s the dang sweater. Ridiculous and completely unsurprising.

Why did we pay Wood 3.5?

He dont hit anymore.
He dont fight anymore.
His skill level is far lower than Zacha.

Did they feel bad he missed all season so its kind of like here ya go kid, next year you are on your own?

I would have gotten rid of Wood if there were any takers and tried to use that cash on Bratt and long term deal.
