Unsurprisingly, J.T Miller says he and the #Canucks are not close on negotiations.

Miller:

Its definitely going to be next to impossible to not be 100% focused on the task when you have your livelihood and career on the line...Especially in Vancouver,if I don't score in the 1st game of the yr they're going to want to light my jersey on fire

Miller on negotiations:

We negotiated pretty early on (during off-season)...we didn't really find happy ground there.

Miller: I want to be there (Vancouver) but that being said if it's not meant to be I understand that to.

Sounds about right with a lil bit of embellishment. Term is probably the major hold up imo. Canucks my guess want 5 but might do 6. JTM probably wants 8 but might do 7. Canucks if true rumour of low 40Mish then 5/8.5m. Miller might be asking 7/9.5m?

Regardless of what either side says, once the season starts this will become a distraction. I don't think the team want's that.

It’s only a distraction if Miller wants it to be one. Sounds like his ask is unreasonable guessing it’s the term. Cannot talk money til ironed out.
