This was the first tournament I've seen Bedard in, and while he does have a wicked wrist shot, can't say that I was blown away with his skill. I remember seeing Crosby at the WJC's and being wowed, but Bedard looked just okay to me. Liked the play of Kent Johnson a lot more. A real buzzsaw with skill.

Kuzmenko is a UFA at seasons end so he would also have to be extended or could walk. If he does well it also creates Cap issues where he may not be able to be resigned. Or could even be traded at TDL......

Hockey Canada representatives have contacted sponsors to ask if removing some top execs would be enough to resume relationships, G&M reports.
"Some [sponsors] said the departures on offer would not be sufficient, and that wholesale change to Hockey Canada’s operations is needed."

Thanks Carol, I agree with Miller, the team wasn’t nearly as bad as their record indicated with Travis behind the bench, but they also weren’t as good as their record with Boudreau behind the bench. The inability to successfully exit their zone when Hughes wasn’t on the ice lead to extended D zone pressure that Demko mostly bailed them out of.

Their finish in the standings was pretty much where I believe they should have finished. Hopefully the improvements they made this off season are enough to push them past Vegas and LA.
