Can’t rule out the chance. We already know the GM is willing to go all in at times and with the new faces somehow adding Kane would make this team fun to watch. When’s the last time a team was stacked best on the wing would love to see it

Don’t they need a 1st line center or at least close to it?

100%. Calgary could offer something like Dube, Hanifin, Zary, and a 1st with the Blackhawks retaining salary, but even then there’s no guarantees they’d take the deal.

I would be pretty happy got Blue jackets fans if this happened. After all those guys bolted as free agents a few years back they deserve it.

the question I have about this deal is not whether Chicago and Columbus would do it, but why the CBJ would do it. If the team feels they can contend for the Stanley Cup after this deal, I'm all for it. If the CBJ is ready to move on from these players for in essence a one or two year rental, ok.

However, is Kane going to hang around for a couple more years? Is the goaltending trio good enough to win the Cup? Is the center position good enough to compete with the top teams?

If the answers to any of those questions are no, then don't do the deal.

still a sub par bottom 6 , and like stated , there are many questions regarding that backend.

I agree feels like the sort of trade you do when you see in which direction this team will trend. Hate to say it, but just seeing Gudbranson being on a potential top 4 pairing is making me cringe.

I would be surprised if Kane accepted a trade to CBJ, unless it was coming with a very lucrative extension. I'd expect Kane to consider a few select locations where he can compete for a SC in 2023 and CBJ isn't one of them. Then he can go for whatever he wants in UFA.

Never know. The offer suggested sucks so that's the bad. But Kane's dad likes to attend his games and he hates to fly. Columbus has to be at least 3 hours less to drive to from Buffalo than Chicago. So I'm saying there's a chance. Any team farther than Chicago is very doubtful.

Gaudreau—Jenner—Kane
Voracek—Roslovic—Laine
Chinakov—Sillinger—Marchenko
Robinson—Kuraly—Danforth
I'd take this line-up. CBJ really need Johnson to develop as a Centerman in Cleveland and then come play on the top line next year, moving Jenner to Wing on the third line. Our wings are over-stuffed right now. To be able to scrape together some value for all these guys and get a player like Kane would be a win. I'd miss Tex down the road. Gus was done here anyway after this year. Foudy and Bemmer are waiver wire type guys who might thrive if given the chance on teams with less of a logjam at the wings.

so a stab in the dark Kane to Columbus for garbage (some they already move out teller) and "conditions on the first but the Blackhawks gobble the Gus Nyquist contract to aid Jackets CAP too?

For the future in Benstrom or that Foudy grows?

Like Jarmo, grow a pair and make a big boy legitimate offer at the deadline when the challenging teams bulk up and try to get better and GIVE a real asset away to get. star player, if Kane is the target, not one who Giroux like and on the final tank...

Jarmo got a lot for Seth, but that maybe encouraged you to try a one way trade, no matter, if Nick on the Hockey channel, does the sports updates rf mentions it to fill space.

It the space between your ears that mishandled this proposal.
