will expect better from him season AFTER this one. Also it is a men's league and he has to have no inhibition with physicality. He is more involved in boards scrum than someone like Kane. Reichel has been banged up a couple times although apparently not too bad. You are expecting too much and too harsh on him right now. Perhaps he won't be a stud superstar but I like his ability and speed on a second offensive line. Let.us see if he winds up there next 1-2 years.

We have plenty of forwards that can't score, big or small.

It used to be the Hawks didn't score on the power play. Now the other team is doing it for them. Is this the plan to get Bedard?

Last year the goal was to see if the Hawks could give up a goal in the first minute of the game. They were quite successful.

It looks like this year’s goal is to keep the other team off the scoreboard for the first period.

Maybe next year’s goal will be to actually score a goal in the first period.

I'd say that's real growth. In the past all that was required to label a player like Reichel a bust was someone observing him lacing up his skates in a manner they didn't care for or the way he hopped onto the ice for pre-game warmups.
