Darryl didn’t seem impressed in the post-gane availability. Milano was playing like his job depended on it, but just couldn’t work the puck past the perimeter.

Yeah, it doesn’t sound like he’s all that mean. Zero professional fights. 7-ish hits per 60 isn’t bad.

Trevor, I know you did a piece on the defensive depth over the summer. But it seems like there is more competition than before. Any chance you can write up a new piece with some ideas? Everyone besides Valimaki seems like they could be an NHL defenseman.

Maybe circle back to Montreal as a trade partner. They have a big RW who fits in with the Flames window, and it seems like their defense is porous.
