Suggesting the Jets pick him up?

He is worth a claim somewhere, and if the Jets didn't sign Gagner I would say sure, but there are too many people plugging up the pipes right now

Kovacevic over Kyle Capobianco is a bit of a surprise.

Lambert still has yet to sign but as flashy as he looked he did make a few rookie mistake-type turnovers in pre-season that might been costly in a regular season game. Still needs some seasoning but there is little doubt that he was an absolute steal at 30th.

Right. Forgot to mention Capobianco as well.

As for Lambert, hard to expect much more than he showed. Definitely looking like a great pick, but I have believed that since day one. Good point, that he hasn't signed yet. Must be soon

Perfetti gets smoked again and again the Jets are lacklustre when retaliating.

He’s in for a LONG season if we don’t protect him

Kadri crushed him last game and Dube last night but don’t worry Toninato and Wheeler for this covered lol

I just have to accept that True North top down have no interest in being hard to play against and for the 11th year we will hear “we’ll take those Power Plays”

Very little change to the team that ended last season. I hope Bowness is the big change this team desperately needed in order to play like they should on paper.
The first 15 games will be important as to what type of team the Jet have. Signing PLD will be very essential as to which direction the Jets go in the next few years.

Kovacevic got claimed by Montreal. Say bye-bye to a much-needed 6'-4" right-hand defenseman in the Jets system.

Kovacevic was claimed by Montreal.

Edit: Sorry, posted this without realizing JetsNation had already mentioned it.

Too bad the Jets didn't trade either soft Demelo, inconsistent Schmidt or mistake prone Dillon in order to keep Kovacevic with the Jets. This is a move that will hurt the Jets in the future.

Dylan DeMelo is a top 10 shutdown guy.

Dillon and Schmidt will likely see huge improvement in the new systems, so I’m not all that worried.

I like Kovacevic, but he’s 25. Best case scenario is a decent bottom pairing guy.

Waive Capobianco and Toninato, call it a day. Keep Harkins as an extra. He doesn’t do much, but he won’t hurt you either. Personally, I would’ve waived him too to give Lambert the 9 games, but whatever
