Combining 3 teams records into 1 makes no sense.

VAN defense sucks. Benning ravaged the team with brain dead decisions.
MIN is dead in the water with 15% of their cap in dead money.
TBL has depth issues from being a contender for so long.

To be clear, YOU had these as playoff teams, but others didn't.

For example, you said Vancouver had the best top 9 in the division, even better than Edmonton. I didn't agree with that. And didn't think Vancouver was a playoff team. Edmonton, Calgary, LA.

You think Kaprizov is the IT factor and think MAF is a stud. I think MAF is totally overrated and that losing Fiala leaves a massive hole. Guerin has almost $13M in dead cap space. So I never had Minnesota making the playoffs.

Tampa is the only real surprise. It's also just 4 games. Good blog.

The Wild look like a bubble team with their leaky goaltending. They’ll miss Fiala but he won’t get 85 points this year. Kaprizov drew the best defenders and Fiala thrived playing against 2nd tier players. Teams won’t be bothered much by Kaprizov getting his points when the Wild can’t outscore them.

Even if the Wild make the playoffs it will be one and out with a defense that is not as good as in the past and subpar goalies. They should be rebuilding. But they can’t with Kaprizov in his prime and a fan base that won’t stand for it. The team looks like they’re going into a purgatory of mediocrity.

Exact opposite of your funk/fail allocation is my prediction.

The $4.2m cap increase will help this team next year. As far as Fleury, he’s not the #1 to carry the team. This team needs a bigger 1a-1b. Maybe they will see the playoffs just to early right now.

Harwood summed it up perfectly, I would say though it's far to early to use the term fail.

This guy also wrote a blog about how his team, the Flyers was off to a surprisingly hot start. When they were 2-0.
