I worry when the team encounters a hot goalie. For half the game it seemed like they couldn't get a break, or beat the goalie, including the 50/50 call on the no goal for interference which really could have gone either way. I thought the call on the ice (a good goal) was supposed to count for something, even just a bit.
The best part about last night's game is that they didn't hang their heads and give up. Past teams had a tendency to accept their fate; these guys seem to have a more positive outlook in the face of adversity.
I really wish that they could have iced the game with an empty netter, but even just keeping the puck out of their end meant that Vegas would run out of time and opportunity.
An excellent effort from everyone, Markstom included due to the pressure he must have felt after that first goal allowed. The second one was near impossible to stop, I thought. |

It was a complete effort from everyone. Markstrom let in a crap goal, but basically there weren't any times I felt the Flames were getting outplayed. They outshot, outhit, outchanced, and outcontrolled every aspect of the game; the GK were beaten soundly even if the score didn't show it. Logan Thompson played amazing, similar to Jake Oettinger. I do think Toffoli on the 3rd line with Coleman/Backlund, keep the 2nd line or move Mangi there and replace him with a new RW somehow, and Lewis rotating in on the 4th line would be the best thing for this team.
There's no hurry to acquire a top 6 guy tho as we should wait until a team is desperate for a dman like Mackey or Kylington (Florida now with Montour banged up, Ekblad out for a month...?) - they might get desperate if they lost a few more games. Anyways, in Tre we trust!

Yes there are players but this was all Sutter it really was, the disallowed goal the way the Flames attack after lately from before they are MORE hungry when its disallowed almost like a chink in the armor then they go for it like blood. The flames could have lost but suddenly it was a parade to the box for Vegas so really its hard to say but 3-0...the flames never win to start the season unless they plan to go all the way GO FLAMES BABY! |

Thanks Trevor.
I think they said on the broadcast last night that there was a bug running around the team. Hopefully Hanifin just has the poopz, and there’s no real injury. |

Flames are going to offer Coronato a contract when his Harvard season ends. Letting him burn 1 year off his entry level deal should get him to Calgary sooner.
Another talented Right shot winger.
Korenecy would be a good addition, but Flyers being 3-0 don’t think he will be available. |

They look less fragile then they have in the past. Disallowed goal only motivated them further. |

My niece and nephew sent me a picture of them sitting in the lower bowl, about 15 rows up. Only thing missing was me, lol,
Great to see the Sabres beat the Oil last night, hometown boy Comrie frustrating the Oilers. |

We can’t take the Sabre’s lightly. They are a good team.
That hit on Hollaway was a thing of beauty. 👍🏼 |

Still really weird to see Florida's top 2 points getter so far are ex flames. Just seems weird ... especially Tkachuk in Panthers jersey. Oh well. We got our own team. Go Flames! |

It is. But not a bad reason to cheer for Florida. |
