Reinhart couldn't hit the broadside of a barn. If we had a true sniper that wouldn't be the case. Mike Hoffman was our last true sniper. Yes I know he was a cherry-picker and didn't play defense, but he scored a lot and didn't miss the net. Injuries are already taking a toll on the Panthers and is exposing their lack of depth. |

Idk, i guess it’s not too bad if it ends up being like how often Thornton played last year.
One game a week, go like hell, then recover for several days idk
Maybe he has more left than any of us believe |

It's starting with the signing of Staal as the Panthers new head coach loves prospect blocking old, slow free agents pickups. Get used to this Panther fans. |

Hell toss him on line 1 for reinhart. Maybe reinhart gets traded for cap relief although trading him would be selling low right now but my goodness man get a goal |

All apparent progress on the power play has disappeared. We're now back to the ineffective, back-passing, perimeter-oriented, pass-through-traffic power play made famous under Brunette.
I'm beginning to think the first few games were a mirage--just the new guys doing what was coached at all the other NHL teams. Now, they've been here for few weeks and they're in tune with the Panthers' power play system--lose the face off, fart around in your own zone for 20 seconds, do a slow back pass, lose the puck at the blue line, get it in the zone, pass around the perimeter, pass through the high-traffic box, retrieve the puck, commit an icing infraction, watch the clock tick down until the real game resumes...
The Panthers aren't taking advantage of the speed that propelled their offense last year. No odd-man-rush, fast-break goals that I've seen so far. Instead, we're getting fed a large dose of perimeter shots and no one near the net for tips or rebounds.
Oh, and I'm really going to lose my marbles if Barkov ignores another open net to pass to someone who's not there/not ready/an opponent. Yikes, it's been nearly 10 years, why can't he shoot when he has the chance?
I thought Maurice had a good start in the first 2 games, but he's losing me now. Zito better be getting involved.

“The Panthers aren't taking advantage of the speed that propelled their offense last year. No odd-man-rush, fast-break goals that I've seen so far.”
The flip side is that they haven’t been giving up as many odd man, fast break chances against. It sure is a lot different from last year. And they actually held a one goal lead through the third period a few times already. The only way they really held a lead last year was to keep adding to it.
They have to get the PP producing, they are dominating games 5v5 and yet hanging on for dear life for the win because of the special teams.
