I look at that bottom 6 on paper and it looks so sad and we dont have the cap space or depth to do much about it.

Georgiev had the benefit of practicing against that powerplay for years to prepare

Krieder is totally snakebit right now, he'll bust out

The entire teams shooting % is down this year while doubling their shots on net this year compared to last

As always, we get very worked up over breaking down one game. Aside from the slow start, we just hung with the class of the league, toe to toe.
When Chytil is back, hopefully playing like he was before, our 3rd line is very dangerous. And as the 4th line settles down to 3 guys playing regularly it will be more consistent.

WTF???
I was happy about us being out west this weekend. Another busy one for me, so though some late games would be perfect. Nope. Noon and 5pm, local times.

if it wasn't for the 3rd period vs the Sharks and that total stinker vs Columbus last night would be really solid night despite the loss

Thats the Cap, many other teams are in the same boat. Makes you really think about giving up cost controlled picks and prospects for Kane.

Thats being said, if Igor doesnt mishandle the puck, we most likely win 2-1. Patience. We havent even played 10 games yet. This team will be top ten in the league by March. There is always be hiccups along the way.

Panarin's line carries the play most of their shifts and gets great chances, they will break through. Zib's line has to be better

I know everyone wants Kane, but I don't think they are happy with the Jones/Hajek option either and it may be more of a priority to address that instead of putting all their chips into a Kane deal

unless Robertson is ready to take the job after mid season

Those are the only two games they really played poorly in. Long term they should be fine. They looked worse last year during a lot of their wins than last night. People have to relax

Kreider and Zib seem to look more dangerous shorthanded than they do at 5 on 5 so far. Just a matter of time before they start to breakthrough, always happens eventually. Overall, the team just needs to get pucks to the net and stop the blind passes to the middle of the ice. Simply their game and punish teams on the forecheck, all will be ok.

Robertson has played well in the minors. I am more concerned that Schneider hasn’t looked like the player he was after last year’s call up. But as you said a few times, it’s still early.

this is why I am thinking there is a better chance they'll acquire a veteran LHD this season rather than pull off the deal for Kane

Correct. Which would be noon local time in Dallas and 5pm local time in Arizona.

Well to his defense... He hasn't really had a stable partner to develop chemistry with.

One game? Last I checked they just lost 3 straight games. To the Sharks for their first win and a Blue Jackets team that got annihilated by the Yotes last night.

I understand there will be peaks and troughs but they cant be doing this versus bottom teams.

The % last year was silly. Theres no shot Kreider scores 50 again, hell Id be surprised if he hits 40. Coaches all around the league have had all summer to review the tapes on him and the team to study all those tip ins.

He's still getting those opportunities. Got absolutely robbed by Vasy twice.
