He may not win because the voting people play favorites. He's already got a couple, they already robbed him of another because the favorite that year "Doughty" had to have his participant ribbon too.
For me, having watched Erik live for many years, he's the closest thing to Orr since Orr. He should have won another time as well and he should probably win this year too. If you can get out to see him play (when he's in the groove like this) you should pay the money to see him play.
