I fell asleep in the 3rd but it seemed like an entertaining game with a bit of old school mixed in. Sad to see Allison go down..... again. That guy is like an injury magnet. I don't get it. Perhaps Bellows will take his spot in the interim.

Allison came close the last game also with that knee on knee hit. I like Allison a lot, I love his energy and his fight. He has had the worst luck in the world when it comes to injuries, but this year he came into camp in such great shape and it really paid off. I sincerely hope he is OK and gets back soon, he is very inspirational!

He has been playing well. I just can't figure out why he's so fragile. Other players play like he does and are as prone to injury. Maybe it's just bias due to the fact that I predominantly watch the Flyers. IDK

Have to admire the Flyers fight in this game. It was a really tough game, not a lot of space out there, and the Flyers hung in there against a clearly better, faster and more skilled team. I really like the building blocks that are being laid this season, exactly what was needed to get this franchise back on track.

Players get hurt blocking shots all the time. Sometimes the puck just hits you in a bad spot and sometimes it stings for a few moments and you get back out there. I have taken a few slappers off my ankles, I can tell you its extremely painful and when it happens you think your ankle just shattered. Hopefully Allison is not seriously injured. Torts is a coach that demands his players get into shooting lanes and block shots, so this type of thing will happen.

Look at the building blocks of just the other teams in the division. Do the flyers have any that really stand out? Do they have any that have elite or high end potential?

They have some nice pieces. Nothing to get overly excited about to me.

To sit? yes absolutely.

Think about it. Flyers lack skill at the forward position. 12 forwards in the lineup. 3 of them (25%) wasted on the 4th line that bring zero offense. They shoot themselves in the foot by willingly playing them.

As I understand it, Bellows has been called up for while now but has been a healthy scratch the whole time. Probably him.

https://theathletic.com/4...l-prospect-rankings-2023/

The Athletic ranks Flyers prospect pool at #14.

Despite having graduated more than half a dozen names from last year’s list due to age, the Flyers’ pool remains in the league’s upper half thanks to the additions of Cutter Gauthier and Devin Kaplan, a huge step forward from Cam York, a return to health for Bobby Brink and Tyson Foerster, and continued progress from guys like Emil Andrae and Elliot Desnoyers.

Their group has a couple of top prospects, and B-grade prospects at all three positions, including two increasingly promising goalies.
