The D is awful, and it will get worse before it gets better. This was always going to be an ugly season, but this is beyond ugly. You can’t really free agent your way out of this mess, and the talented kids that are coming won’t change things overnight.
PV failed to put together a team that would give the Ducks a chance to be competitive each night, which was always a long shot. The team doesn’t have the org depth to absorb injuries to players like Drysdale or Terry. With 3rd pairing D-men playing top-4 minutes, not a lot of defensive skills in the forward group, and so many of Bob Murray’s high draft picks not contributing, the results are predictable.

He coulda signed some in season D men that went through waivers - or traded for a couple - he’s done zip -and it’s an insult to paying fans.. or any fans for that matter…
Everyone crows about how he apprenticed under whoever.. well I got news for everyone… he didn’t learn sheet. He’s just another crappy student.
