They should allow teams to decline the loser point from OT. The Flyers even screw up losing. Isn't this about the time they usually go on a meaningless winning streak?

The stat line I saw on Tippett actually had him listed with 27.40 as time on ice. Torts just kept throwing him out there. Not really surprised that there isn't much interest in JVR. He isn't exactly what you would call a playoff kind of player.

I actually looked at the Flyers remaining schedule and I think they will be lucky to win 5 games the rest of the season. That would be my over/under if I was betting and I would probably take the under.

Tippett is a helluva young player and he had a dominant game tonite! He is going to be a thorn in our side for a long time!

Ha! They usually seem to go on the winning streak a week or so before the TDL and again, near the end of the season. I didn't expect to get much for any of our players and being on the losing side of most games recently sure won't help.

Yikes! I don't expect much but see them winning 8-10. I see them winning a few games the end of March/early April. Either way, it is so depressing to see how bad we are and that the future is bleak.

Rags win despite icing 16 skaters, and 5 defensemen. Kind of an important detail.

Farabee has one point in his last 19 games. Unreal futility.

The Avalanche held the Devils to 7 goals last night. Very impressed by that.

Every passing day, every game, everytime the GM opens his stupid mouth it is a new low for the Flyers.

Ever since Torts went with the 2D and 1F on that west coast trip, his reasoning was for possession. Do the Flyers really ever win that battle in OT?

Take last night. They had the puck for what, like 25 seconds before Tippett lost control?

Grand scheme of things it's whatever I just wish he'd come back to conventional wisdom.

What was Ristolainen doing on the GWG? He looked like an 8 year old squirt player. Comical.

Yeah, that 2 defensemen thing is a joke. They are 1-10 in overtime. Torts needs to wake the eff up! Makes no sense at all.

That shorthanded crap is just that....crap! Players like to play and they don't mind getting extra ice time. You actually get into a better flow of things playing every third shift or whatever.

Farabee has been awful this year. I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt because he's coming off major surgery, but if he's going to be this bad just sit him down and get him ready for next year.

The 27.40 TOI for Tippet is crazy. It's far and away the most he's been on the ice for any game and no other Flyer forward had even 20 min TOI. The short handed Rangers didn't have a forward playing close to that amount of ice time either.

What was the point of trying to play him every other shift on the last game before the TDL?

Considering how poor it’s worked …I’m a tad surprised it hasn’t been shelved. It’s like they are trying to get to the shoot out….which never seems to end well…

I remember way back when, when Dan Duquette was the GM of the Boston Red Sox and when he got fired he held a presser where he stated the Red Sox spent more games in first place during the season than the Yankees, even though the Yankees won the division and went to the World Series. Hearing Chuck the other day made me cringe when he stated 1. the Flyers are now the 7th youngest team in the league and 2. they have the 5th highest improvement in points percentage. What kind of moron cares about either of these metrics when the team is where it is?? Embarrassing!

A giant leap don't you think?? Risto played it well, Hart should have stopped the puck!

I just don't get it. He puts Frost out there which is good but with York and Provey. I don't mind York but why not Tippet also, especially the way he has been playing. Frost-Tippet-York/DeAngelo would play most of the OT if I was coaching this team. The point is to win the game, not defend. It really does not make any sense.

Ha, both Frost and Risto were burned. A tough play for Hart, a sniper that close in is always going to be an issue.

I have to admit that I felt that was a pretty weak goal too. That's now a couple of OT goals lately that have been rather soft on Hart. I mean, Tarasenko was by himself and had no passing options. Get square to the shooter and stop the damn puck! That one wasn't really on Risto in my eyes, but I realize that everyone wants to make him the whipping boy on here. I thought Hart played well, so not ripping him, but in that instance stop the damn puck!
