Well, it appears that the damage caused is a big factor in any disciplinary action taken. Cernak was knocked out, while Staal got up and kept playing.
Not to mention that Staal had just played the puck, while Cernak hadn’t, and was like 10 ft away from the puck. Bunting play was worse.

Thank god for our third-string goalie. Lyons reminds me of another goalie, Andrew Hammond. He was called up from the minors in the 2014-2015 season and led the Senators to a 20-1-1 playoff run. I wish we could afford to have Smith on the roster to take Nosek to pound-town but he is just too ineffective for the rest of the game. Panthers should take him down a peg but do it carefully no dirty suspension stuff and no key guys. Just take him to whipping school and be done with it. I dont know Nosek well but he doesnt strike me as someone who would answer the bell
