The Blues will pay less but I think 3 yr 21 mil is what he’ll get from some team that needs his professionalism. |

Pay him what an average 32-year-old 15 goal scorer makes in the league on a 2 year contract. |

Penguins will hire Chia pet as their new GM and he will immediately sign ROR to a 5 year, 50million dollar contract with a full NMC for all 5 years. |

He's only 32. The notion he takes any kind of discount can happen after 35, but for now it's ROR's last opportunity for a big payday, and nobody should be surprised he takes it. |

That sounds like Stan Bowman's standard contract negotiation.

Then ROR will lead Pittsburgh over Boston in round 1 of the 2024 playoffs leading to mass suicides in Boston. And nothing of value was lost. |

Chiapet might get a Pres. spot. FSG is interviewing for both. Not sure Chia would suck at President of Ops. The Penguins fan base might as well commit seppuku if Chia is GM.

You'd have to be insane to sign ROR for any kind of term. |

I think the safe bet is for everyone to just give Chia pet the middle finger at this point. Dont let him near any hockey related decisions. |

I demand that he be the guy who trades Sidney Crosby.
The world needs to see that. |

I mean its possible. He loves pulling off trades like that. But the problem is Crosby is too old. Chia pet only likes to trade young players.
If he traded Crosby, it would be akin to the Hall trade from EDM. I could only imagine the backlash. |

Crosby for Ryan Strome.
And then Strome for Ryan Spooner somehow. |

He was not close to a complete success. He has slowed down a ton not that he was ever fast. I can see him resigning in St Louis. 2/4m. |

Like O’Reilly but he’s not the right guy for us, on a longer term. We need young, tough and faster…..with attitude. |

Once the Flyers miraculously find a taker for Kevin Hayes by retaining salary or attaching draft capital to unload him, they will immediately blow that newfound cap space on O'reilly. He seems like a Torts' wet dream type of player. |

If Chiarelli were actually allowed to rebuild this offseason, I'd be fine with that. Everything would need to go though. Crosby, Malkin, Letang, Guentzel, etc. would bring back a ton a futures. Can't rush a rebuild though and he probably would. |

That guy too expensive Really He is over the hill Anyone who overpays deserves him |

Pittsburgh is in on O'Reilly, but in the teaser rumour chart they aren't even mentioned (aka 0% chance). This isn't making sense to me.
I would also add Boston to the mix. If Bergeron or Krejci (or both) retire, then the Bruins will be looking for a guy to fill some of those minutes. He might be a nice 2C to replace Krejci. |

Would rather them suffer with in-house options that are less than ideal. O'reilly can eat a bag of Richards. |

Yeah that's you. I would agree. But I can see this being something Boston does to keep the window open one more year.

Even if it was an option on the table, not sure with cap constraints its a possibility unless Sweeney offloads quite a few bodies.
Having said all that, Sweeney has made stranger moves before so who knows. You would think he might want to cash in somewhere. I definitely dont want him in a Bruin's uniform though. |
