Wrote this in my April 20th blog, was pretty spot on: Prior to the start of the season, the Dallas Stars signed Jason Robertson to a 4-year deal with an AVV of 7.750 million. In the first year of this new deal, Robertson put up 109 points (46 goals and 63 assists), that’s the kind of deal the Canadiens need to ink Caufield to, a bang for your buck kind of deal. In an ideal world though, you want to sign him for longer than 4 years, but that kind of commitment comes at a premium.

It's possible but there is no "out clause" in his current KHL contract. So Molson would have to pay the russians a significant amount for them to consider it. Michkov is already seen as a star over there.

I have not felt this excited about the team in years.

They are building something good here... I am enjoying that process as much as watching the kids develop as they play more.
