Gallagher, Anderson and Dvorak are really not what would make this trade work on any level

Price will be on LTIR until his contract ends, he retires or gets traded (a possibility, no matter how remote) ... plus, other players likely included or being moved elsewhere ... short-term, teams can be 10% over the cap in the off-season.

Good move for the Habs especially as he wants to be there... guy is a difference maker when he wants to be.. and St Louis seems like a coach who can connect with him. Habs have a good group of young pieces to complement him for sure.

This lunch with a top source sounded super intriguing. But the follow-up is that Montreal and LA are both interested in Dubois? That news has been circulating for ages now. Was hoping for something more. But I guess there is always more to come...

PLD is for PLD which is fine, he’s in a business as much as it is a sport.

I don’t see 8 years of glee in Mtl, the media and the pressure just doesn’t seem like a good match with his makeup.

Love him as a player but flawed, maybe he’ll mature?

Given what they gave to get Dach last year, I don't see him being flipped for PLD.

Montreal won't be competitive for a few more years, if all goes well.....so they can afford to wait for PLD to come into the club as FA. Hughes best not trade any serious assets for PLD.....

Montreal probably has to sacrifice Roy or Beck in any deal...thats a tough one to swallow...but Suzuki, Dach, PLD is a pretty solid C core....and we have this draft Smith or Dvorsky coming.
